That's what happened to me. I think it was after I clicked my 6th egg too. Weirdness, but not complaining.

Same here. then egg count went from 13 to 7. Weird. I have 13 again so, i just want to end my hunt fast otherwise I'll forget to do it later.

I have only found 10 and I have looked every where even the places listed in the post above mine.

You might be doing it too fast. I'm not sure the timing between eggs, but it seems to be quite long. I can generally get 2-3 eggs on the DC site in the time it takes an egg to show up here, so I think he set the timer a little long, is all.
Fortunately we have a while to look for these (I assume he's not going to shut it off tomorrow evening), so it shouldn't be a problem. I hope.

Remember to look very carefully, I had one little bugger that was just barely a small slice sticking out from the corner of the screen, almost missed it.
