    And it is really strange with the two most recent HoV from Jedi's post. So far I only got the one with the big red heart but it was bred. And while there are 8-10 of all the other vareties so far, we have only one of these two HoV. Possibly a glitch?

    I had trouble finding any parentless in the wild, last night. I only managed to find 2, even after refreshing for almost half an hour.

    I'm really thinking it was a glitch that Jedi got those two parentless. Not one other has been either of those two variants. Also, I'm not seeing any more in the wild, so I think Exterminans ended it either early or at its usual time, even though he started it late. :(

    Also, would other people be willing to breed theirs and let the seeds drop into the garden? I did that with all of mine a few days ago, so none of mine now have the breed option, and all of the seeds I've dropped have been taken. I would appreciate it, and I'm sure others would too!

    About the two unique plants: Jedi, did you have parentless versions of these two plants in your garden before these two ?

    Perhaps it's a "one parentless plant per garden" variety. (So once you have one parentless of that variant you don't get another.) Either that, or it was a glitch, or this is a freak accident of statistics. (Which can happen, it's just, well, statistically improbable. ;) )

    No I had either none of the ones in question or they were bred ones.

    If you've used up all your bleeding hearts for breeding, you won't see the breeding option on your Hearts of Valentine. And they are breedable all the year round, only you get a bleeding heart, not a HoV, if you breed them outside the Valentine period.

    It looks like there won't be any more parentless HoVs in the wild garden this year, so perhaps we should conclude this experiment.

    We already know that Jedi didn't have the two singular variants as parentless plants before she got hers this year. Mimmu and myself, we did already have one parentless of each before we started collecting seeds this year (and didn't get more, despite Mimmu collecting 16 parentless seeds, and me 13).

    So it might still be a valid theory that you only get one parentless for each of those per garden. How about all the other experimenters - did you already have one (or more ??) parentless plants of these two variants ?

    Yes, they still seem to be breedable, but there aren't any wild ones in the garden. I think Exterminans might have just forgotten. I guess being able to breed them is better than not being able to get them at all, but it sucks a bit for those who are relatively new.

    I hadn't put the last few posts of seeds into the first post, but I don't see that the numbers would change all that much. The first two variants are definitely the most common, and the last two only showed up that one time. Very strange; I think a "one parentless per garden" rule may very well be the case for those two variants. We would need much more data on this, however, and I'm not entirely sure how we can get it.
