Well I look out my window and wee it all white from the snow, overcast, February is at times the most dreary month of the year, except for Valentines day. Oh please when does it start???? Love seeing and breeding those beautiful pink and red plants, to brighten my soul. 
Just a note, my husband was in hospital for 2 weeks in January, in the ICU and trama centre, but now he's home, but still needs a lot of care. he's always been my Valentine, seems like forever

It always started on or short before the 14th in the last years, the 10th being the earliest. So just be patient for a few more days.

Of course the fairies wont miss out on the festival of love. Just check back between Feb 14 and 15 (German time GMT+1) and participate in the festival of love (what act do you think should you perform ;)).

Are the Heart of Valentine plants going to be breedable, or found in the garden? That's usually extended beyond just the one day.

They are gonna be breedable for at least a week. But you can not find them in the wild garden. Only thru performing a special task between Feb 14 and 15.

Why do I keep getting bleeding hearts when I breed my Valentine plants?
It's possible the event hasn't been turned on yet, even though it's the 14th now. Hopefully if it isn't, then any plants we've given will count anyway.I'm wondering if maybe there's a little confusion. The news says that like in past years we will get a Heart of Valentine by gifting a flower. But for the past two years, gifting a flower has given us a Be-My-Valentine flower instead, and we've gotten HoV seeds in the garden or by breeding. We've also always been able to breed bleeding hearts to get HoV seeds during the event, but that doesn't seem to be accessible, either.
This seems like the event is going back several years, and even so, only bringing back a small part of it. It's not very fair to newer members, who don't have any HoV flowers to breed, if breeding is going to be the only way to get more HoV flowers. There are so many variants of them, that getting a single seed from the post pixie seems... unsatisfying.

It has never been random in past Valentine's events. Since we are only allowed to abandon a limited number of seeds, this doesn't seem like a very kind change to make.Btw, I'm not finding it very random. So far I've only gotten bleeding hearts, and no HoVs. I don't feel very happy about this, and I'm not inclined to waste my breeding attempts right now, when it appears the event is broken.
