I just ask someone the same question on another forum - fortunately I am the admin and could get rid of it when I realized what I had done before anyone saw it (or at least I'm assuming no one else saw it! Who knows?)

But more to the purpose of this thread - YES, newbies! Collect those Bleeding Hearts! You're gonna need them!

The Bleeding Hearts are available year round, but the Heart of Valentine (HoV) is only available during a set time around Valentine's Day. And it is during that time when you can breed the Bleeding Hearts with the HoV's and get another HoV. (You can breed them year round, you just can't get the HoV's any other time.)

Just to clarify: There are some HoV variants that you can get in the wild, but others that are bred only, which is why you'll want the Bleeding Hearts. I don't know fur sure which ones, but I think at least this one is bred only:

All of my others I have at least two that were found in the wild, although with one variant, my second one was gifted, so that variant might also be bred only. To clarify further: The first year a variant is out, you'll get the newest variant by gifting a plant to another user if you gift it ON the 14th. We all generally use the gifting thread, and there are generally no rules that day about taking any. (Since we all want to make certain what we offer gets taken so we can get the new plant.) Make sure Exterminans has actually turned on the event first; also make sure you're not late, by whatever time zone he is in. Which might be Germany, but might not.

Last year we actually got a completely different plant, the Be My Valentine plant. Whether or not that one will be available in the wild, whether that plant will have further variants, or whether it will be able to breed with anything else, is completely unknown at this point.

Hm...the Lucky Clovers are still around and are able to be bred.

I guess they are just very lucky.

And the Christmas trees as well.

I hope we can get the bonus flowers this year again. Last year I missed it because I didn't know how I could get it. I promise to gift flowers this year!

Yes, I also missed out as I didn't know I needed to gift nor was I gifted. I had no idea how it worked. This time I hope to get one!

You don't need to receive one of the gifted flowers in order to receive the special plant, you just need to gift something. But it's polite to take at least one (or more) as a favor to people that day, to make sure everyone has a chance at getting the special flower.

It's a good opportunity for newcomers to get lots of flowers and not feel grabby, too.

I still see Christmas tree, Lucky Clover and Christmas Star seeds in the Wild Garden. And I can still breed them.

I doubt we'll get a new special flower for Valentine's Day this year with Nephele gone....

Since this will be my first V day on here that is fine with me.

I'm sure we will find one or more new artists in the future. Just have a look at dragon cave how MANY artists there are! I'm pretty sure there are people out in the world who are about to make new flowery Art!

Nephele will be unforgotten, thats another thing.
