I don't recall when the event started in previous years, but Exterminans told us some time ago that the events rarely started in time anyway.
Could we get an estimate on when it will start this year, or at least some advance warning so the newbies will be ready?

Well, I know it's a lot of work for Nisha, and maybe others as well, but it sure is nice when we do get new variants. I guess this give newbies a chance to catch up.
