You know that you can selectively deactivate Adblock for specific domains? It's in the menu, adblock will then automatically deactivate whenever you visit that site. There are no ads in this forum that I would be aware of.

There was an ad on the main FG site that was pretty intrusive, for a while, iirc. I think Exterminans did something to get rid of it. I have never seen an ad on the forums, however, and I don't use any ad blockers.
I think I know what agajol is talking about - once somehow the banner in my sig did something to one of the threads - it was odd. And Flowergame has cleared it up years ago. But it did look bad at the time. But it was also on the old forum, not this one, if I am correct.

How did Shelybear get this variant?
A question to Shelybear: Was this a normal plant before you gifted it or grew it up like this? Because I remeber it being normal when you first posted it in your recipe thread, but I can be wrong. 
It was a normal purple variant. Then it changed to this 'cooked' version. When I took it, it changed to the normal one (after a few minutes) and then after giving it back it changed back to the special 'cooked' version.
Can we try this? We gift normal potatoe plants to somebody else and then gift it back and we'll see what's happening.

I just swaped plants with Kintara and mine stayed normal so far. It's possible, it doesn't happen all the time...

Maybe it's like with the biting dandelion - grow enough "normal" potatoes and the special variety will appear?
