Is there anything that those of us that haven't been here a year yet should be preparing? It's hard to know what I should have planted that can be bred during specific times. Thanks!
-
Hope my plants sprout so I can grab some of the witches. Any idea when they will start dropping?

Blueheart - Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you will just need open pots for grabbing the seeds (or breeding the mature witch mushrooms, if you have any - not to be confused with the regular mushrooms). However, while waiting for this event to start, you could try to grow some Male Ferns since they will be needed for the next one. But you will probably have time afterwards since it isn't until June. The wiki is full of information, if you'd like to take a look at it too.

Probably around the end of the month, not quite certain as to the exact day, but it goes on into May, so there's plenty of time.

However you want to play the game - it's up to you! I tend to keep my pots full, unless I know the date is very soon - say a day or two. I mean, you can know that is the holiday is a specified day like Valentine's, but not for something like this - it's a little harder to know when to stop taking seeds or breeding. But if you want to be one of the very first ones to get the seeds, then, yes, you would want to keep your slots open and ready! lol

Oh, not a problem. (I forget about it sometimes and I even worked on it some! )

The witches' mushrooms are for Walpurgisnacht (Walpurgis Night), which is April 30. It's sort of a second Hallowe'en, because witches supposedly have the strongest powers that night. It's the night before May Day, and it supposedly used to be a pagan fertility festival. I believe that in previous years the mushrooms appear on the actual holiday and then persist for a week or two after.

Got my 4 brooms.
-
Looks like they started breeding right after I went to bed.
-
They never made an announcement? I really like seeing the "News" turn red.
-
Are the brooms still dropping? Haven't seen a single one. ^^" Would love to collect more bred ones as I need the breed onlies green and pink.
and I still lack and They can be found parentless, right?

It shouldn't be over - we haven't even had one set grow up yet. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, 15 minutes or so, and another set will drop. At other times, I think they might have to make a manual drop or something.
They don't have five minute drops like DC. I'm not sure the timing. Also, sometimes it's just hard to find the seeds because there can be so many of other plants in there.

I just saw some seeds in the Wild Garden
