The pink and yellow variants can only be gotten through breeding. That's why some of us dropped so many bred seeds into the wild, to give others a chance at those variants.
I know, it's just that my bred ferns have all been red and blue so far as well. It's a bit of a shame but hopefully the last four bred ones I have will be different c: -
Well, it looks like they haven't ended the event yet, so I bred a bunch and dumped the seeds into the wild. So those that still don't have yellow or pink still have a chance at it.
-
yup, looks like it, so i took advantage of that to breed some more.
and i have one leftover bred seed: http://flowergame.net/view/154363
please only take if you have none of the bred variants yet!!

I didn't get any yellow or pink this year and mine were all bred apart from I think one. I do have two of each from last year though.
-
I got a lot of blues this year. Still hoping to get that yellow though.
-
I got lots of red...
-
Got 2 yellow and a pink and some reds. Last batch should mature tomorrow....
-
I finally got my first pink and purple The rest have all been red and blue but I still have two bred seeds, so I'm hoping at least one of them will be yellow.
-
There are still seeds in the Wild Garden.
-
Everything grew up red or blue, I have one more bred seed growing up but I'm not holding my breath. I like the red and blue ones best so I'm not too sad. I can't wait for the new plants though.
-
My last one is pink.
-
My first batches were mostly blue and purple, plus one single pink. Later I got a couple of reds and more blues, even from bred seeds, but thanks to Alia, I have a yellow one as well. Well, 6 more to go (3 bred, 3 parentless).
Edit: Make that 8 more to go, grabbed another 2 bred seeds in the Wild Garden. Thank you, Dracaena!
-
I have three more bred ones to grow up. Hopefully one will be a yellow. Or if that fails, maybe I can trade my extra pink for one.

It could've been there for a while. There's a lot of seeds in the garden so it's possible it just didn't end up on the first page until now.
-
No, I sent about six to the garden only two or three days ago. They haven't turned it off yet - and I'm not complaining!
-
Oh, that's nice. Sad thing I can't breed right now.
Hmm, I just realised that it'll be a long time until the next event. Gotta savour this one.
-
I just checked, and it looks like my Marvel Ferns are breedable again. So I'm about to drop a bunch of bred seeds into the garden. (Assuming I have enough male ferns for all of them!)
Edit: Just dropped 22 seeds to the garden - 19 have parentless parents, and 3 have grandparents.
Edit 2: My seedlings just grew up, so I dropped their offspring into the garden as well. All parentless parents.
LadyNova: Even though you can't breed your own, you might be able to snag some of mine from the garden if you have an empty pot.

So the reason 'male fern' got its name was because they contain only male part? And need a marvel fern to breed with since marvel fern are 'female'? Just curious, can male fern inbreed out of mid-summer?
P.S. Myon and I have been wondering for quite a while why there was not a 'female fern'. :p
