Hmm, I just was told that April fools only last to 12p.m. Is it true?

It is true. but it may not be 12pm yet in some places. It probably isn't in many parts of the USA and Canada.
-
Well, I'd sure like to hear something from the team about this - clear it up, so to speak.
-
Well, I thought it was a joke and just went along with it - there were so many of them today, in all kinds of communities (saw some really funny ones). And yes, I also went looking for those invisible violets (with and without glasses), just to be on the safe side.
Maybe they will make it up to us and release a really nice new plant later.
-
Nobody actually said there would be a plant released on April 1st. Nisha just said 'April starts with a new plant' and we assumed (at least I did) that it would be today. She could have meant the beginning of April which could be in the next few days. Things get lost in translation sometimes.
-
So far, I have not seen any different seeds or anything. But am waiting! This should be fun!

The new plant get online today, yesterday it wasn't ready . Sorry for this.
Die neue Pflanze geht heute online, Gestern war sie noch nicht ganz fertig. Entschuldigt bitte die Unklarheit.
-
Nothing to be sorry for, Nisha. We were just impatient.
-
New plant is released. It´s Sorrel.
-
Thanks for heads up.
No need to say sorry.:) -
don't worry, nisha!! i guess you could call it a "prank?" ;D and i think i should be the one to apologize for starting the hubbub about the new plant when i made that thread... :u so i'm sorry for being silly and impatient.
-
I thought the delay was fun.
Now I'm curious how the rumex will turn out! Maybe even variants (like green and purple)? Actually, I'm a huge fan of sorrel soup and salad, so I'll have a little patch in my garden now. -
My whole - real - garden is full of it and I can't get rid of it. Once its taken root its multiplying like crazy.. *g*
-
That's why I have NO dandelions on here, also grape hyacinths. Lavender is the same, although I do have FG ones.
Other real life weeds I have, not here yet, forget-me-nots (only OK in the pond), lily of the valley (super invasive) and aquilegia. -
Re real life weeds: Don't forget lupins. And heracleum a.k.a. giant hogweed (shudder).
-
I've managed to banish lupins. Mainly because the neighbours have too. Hogweed hasn't reached gardens here. (yet)
I don't think it will, the local authority is very good at getting rid whenever it pops up in the countryside. -
Oh, but i love lupins....and lavender...and forget-me-not...i never considered them weeds....
I like my garden a bit wild, not so park-like as if drawn with a scale (if that's the right word)
Although i think Bishop's weed aka Aegopodium podagraria IS THE PEST! It invaded my garden years ago and i can't get rid of it.... -
A weed is anything that grows where you don't want it and spreads itself around.
If you want them, then to you they aren't weeds. -
A weed is a plant whose benefits have not been discovered yet.
And I like lupins, too, despite their being a weed! Hogsweed, on the other hand... Argh, don't get me started... -
I like Lily of the Valley. I know they are very invasive, but the flower is very cute!
