Mittsommer kündigt sich an/ Midsummer is coming

    Am 25. Juni wird in den skandinavischen Ländern (und nicht nur dort) Midsommer gefeiert und Flowergame feiert mit. Im Laufe der nächsten Tage startet unser Midsommer Event. Doch das ist noch nicht alles. Das Event ist der Auftakt zum lange angekündigten Big Update. Daher kann es die nächsten Tage auch zu kurzen Verzögerungen und Problemen mit dem Server kommen. Über weitere Neuigkeiten halten wir euch hier auf dem laufenden.

    On June 25, the Scandinavian countries (and elsewhere) celebrate Midsummer and Flower Game with them. In the next few days we will start a midsummer event. But that's not all. The event is the prelude to the long-awaited Big Update. Therefore, it may come the next days to short delays and problems with the server. We keep you updated.

    I cannot wait! This update sounds like it will be a lot of fun. ^ _ ^ And I love Midsummer celebrations! Thank you for all your hard work!

    Du sprichst es aus, FarmerMey. Wir waren sicher alle längst wie Hanfseile gespannt, nun werden wir auf dem letzten kurzen Wegstück zu Stahltrossen. :P Was mag uns erwarten? Ich hatte schon überlegt, einen Rätsel-Thread zu starten. Aber ohne die *schmunzelnden* Kommentare des Quizmasters würde das uferlos und im Endeffekt nutzlos. Also ein \_/ <== edles Getränk auf das nie müde Team und die kleine Reststrecke noch grauenvoll tapfer durchhalten. :thumbup:

    You talk it out, FarmerMey. We were all sure how long hemp rope stretched, we will now to steel cables on the last short stretch. :P What might await us? I had been thinking of starting a riddle thread. But without the * smirking * Comments of the quiz master would be it endless and ultimately futile. So a \ _ / <== noble beverage by holding onto the never tired team at the small remaining distance still awful brave. :thumbup:

    I've never heard of celebrating MidSummer! What are some of the things you do to celebrate it? I can't wait to see what all the update is about! And I do hope we will be getting new plants, but if not, that's OK too. I really appreciate everyone's hard work making the game better for us! ^^

    Well, in Poland for example on Midsummer Night you traditionally have a big bonfire, people dance around it and roast sausages. But I think it's not such a big celebration over here as, for instance, in Finland.

    I have pagan friends who celebrate on that day for light, life, growth, and especially fertility. In a number of traditional religions the solstices and equinoxes are celebrated, which is about the time of midsummer. But the type of celebrations you get and the reasons for celebrating depend on...well, your background.

    I can tell you only that much:
    The Big Update will add features none of you would have expected. Work ist allmost done, so you may expect the event to start within the next 1-3 days.

    What about a little game to shorten the time? If someone can guess at least a single feature the update will bring, he might get a little preview on the after next update.

    Ich tippe mal auf ein Saatbeet. Richtiger Erduntergrund. 3 Reihen a 6 Saatplätze, darunter die recht klein gewordenen Wassertropfen. Erst sind alle Plätze etwas verunkrautet. Nebendran steht eine Hacke. Man wählt sie an und erhält einen Hacke-Cursor. Jeder Platz muss vor der Aussaat gehackt werden. Sonst wird das nichts, der Samen kann nicht platziert werden. Nach dem Hacken die Samen platzieren. Nun die Gießkanne schnappen und gießen. Dazu wählt man die Kanne an und erhält einen Gießkannen-Cursor. Oder man lässt es wie bisher im Minispiel regnen. Dann folgt die übliche Entwicklung. Die fertige Pflanze springt wieder aus dem Topf in die inzwischen endlos lange Spalte. Der Topf verschwindet, es entsteht karger Boden, der gehackt werden will. Etwas später entsteht Unkraut, falls nicht gesät oder eine Jungpflanze erworben wurde.

    Jau. Und weil die Spaltenhöhe inzwischen eine vernünftige Grenze erreicht hat, werden im nächsten Update Pflanzenbeete folgen. Drum haben die erwachsenen Pflanzen auch keine Töpfe. ;) In der logischen Kette könnte dann folgen, dass auch erwachsene Pflanzen Wasser brauchen, wenn sie schön bleiben sollen. Es wird wohl ein Welkestadium geben, aus dem sie nicht sterben, sich aber wieder erholen können...

    I guess times at a seedbed. Proper earth surface. Three rows of six seed places, the bottom has become very small water droplets. Until all seats are some weeds. Next to it stands a hoe. You selected it to receive a hoe on the can-cursor. Each place has to be chopped before sowing. Otherwise it will nothing, the seeds can not be placed. Place after mincing the seeds. Now grab the watering can and pour. You simply select the watering can and get a can-cursor. Or it can rain as usual in the minigame. Then follows the usual development. The finished plant jumps out of the pot in the now endless column. The pot disappears, it creates poor soil, which will be chopped. A little later came weeds, if you not sow or a young plant was purchasing.

    Jau. And because the column has reached a reasonable height limit, will follow in the next update plant patches. Therefore, the adult plants also have no pots. ;) In the logical chain could then follow that even adult plants need water if they are to remain beautiful. It will probably be a wilting stage, from which they do not die, but it can recover again ...

    Züchten? Man nehme eine weiße Pflanze und kreuze sie mit einer roten und erhalte eine rosane, oder eine weiße mit roten Äderchen! Das fände ich toll! kein Hoffen und raten mehr auf Farben sondern gezieltes Züchten.

    Crossbredding? You cross a red with a white one and get a pink one, or one with white petals streaked with red. I would really like that! You would no longer have to hope that you get the colour you want!

    Oh Mist, dann brauch ich doch Urlaub. Oder ihr spielt es erst für Donnerstag ein, da hab ich frei und kann alles verpflanzen. Ach hoffentlich kenn ich mich da noch aus. Aber aussehen tut es jedenfalls toll! Dankeschön schon mal jetzt. :) :thumbup:
