I have to admit, I'm very excited for my first Halloween where I am active!! I am looking forward to getting as many different plants as I am able to, and was wondering when they start appearing in game, and for how long they continue to appear in the wild garden? I want to be sure and have all my pots available to get them as soon as possible since it is a limited time event

When I was here before I remember Halloween being near the actual date and lasting only a week or so. You can breed jack o lanterns, but you'll want to save room to get Audreys and Tree Stumps, too. I recommend getting what you can from the Wild Garden first thing, then breeding whatever you want as soon as the pots are empty and can accept seeds, as I believe (if I remember correctly) that bred seeds will continue to grow even after the Wild Garden drops are finished.
Edited to add: From last year's thread it seems they dropped from Oct 24-Nov 1. So it is short.

Picked and bred some jack-o-lanterns!!
What plants are people hoping to get this Halloween? Is there anything you're missing and trying to get? I'm hoping to get all my missing jack-o-lanterns, including breed-only ones. -

I need more tree stumps than anything else. Audreys next. I'm content with having a jack or two still missing at the end.

It's my first year, so I am concentrating on getting ones from the garden first. Torn between the three what to mainly get first, but ended up with 2 Tree Stumps and 1 of each of the others. I'll probably grab the same thing once they sprout, then pick one of the other two next year to concentrate on. I'm just so happy to be here this year for it! The artwork is so creative on all

Yes, I remember this dilemma from my first year. I didn't know what to "catch" and was more than disappointed when I realized that I still had so many question marks. Jack O'Lantern is the only questionmark I've had for three years now and it's driving me crazy because I still din't catch or breed him

I want all the stumps. I'll worry about the rest after that. But this is only my second Hallowe'en, not counting all the years I just left my pots sitting. So I'm WAY behind.

I do wish that we could breed for maybe a week after the seeds stop dropping though. But I guess that gives goals for the following year(s)

Yeah, looks as if the seeds are gone from the Wild Garden already - too bad, I was hoping it might last 1 more day for my seeds to sprout.
But as a tip, it looks like you need to improve the sunlight in your garden - when I visited, it had the "bend" option, and it seems to only show up if you have low sunlight levels, if I understand things correctly. If you keep the garden well lit and fully watered, your seeds sprout faster. I picked up seeds on Oct. 26 and they sprouted Oct. 29 so I was able to pick up 4 additional.

Oh yes, sun helps. But I keep everything sunny and watered at all times - and I pick up slugs every day. Still couldn't manage a second bunch of Hallowe'ens..
