I also have a hatchie egg like that, a Plated that was caught on April 1. I thought it was funny, but after reading Mia's post, I can understand why some people were not amused. Don't worry, I'm sure it will turn normal sooner or later.
I calmed down later, but I was pretty aggravated at the time. I was going through the eggs when they were at the 4 days + stage, then I would influence one, incubate it, and see what color it was. I already have a few that are grown up, that I know what gender they are and color, obviously, so I'm trying to get mates for each one. It's a bit complicated what I was doing, and since gendering doesn't always work anyway, it might not matter as much as I'm hoping. But... I'm still hoping I can get mates for each. I'm OCD enough that I like things balanced, but this particular breed is going to annoy my OCD.
Too bad there's no way to influence what alt you'll get from an egg. There are many times with Nebula lineages that I've gotten the right gender but the wrong color, for instance, and that's always a bit disheartening.
