You're welcome. That lineage was ordered by my friend once and I found it beautiful.<3
Two shimmer pairs:
Bronze Shimmer from Winter Solstice
>>lineageBronze Shimmer from Ridgewing
>>lineageWell I did hesitated for a while before deciding to gift them out. Feel free to claim them.
-
Oh, that Soltice lineage looks so pretty, but I don't want to be greedy. Leaving it to someone else.
Edit: some offerings from me as well. They're not very rare, but they all have really pretty lineages.
Water arrow, with a golden core

I took your Shimmer with Solstice Shely. Thank you.
And thank you LadyNova for Water. Here is something from me. Who wants can take.

Claim my eggs/hatchlings! -
Bajka, I took your silver. I can continue that lineage. Some of the others I would have trouble with, like the one with the hollies. It's a beautiful lineage, but the hollies I have have really messy lineages. (I got the hollies randomly from the AP last winter.)
-
I'd love to adopt the Shimmer/Ridgewing, but I will be egg-locked for another hour or so...
Edit: Ooohh, and the new breeds have grown up, they look fantastic!
Edit 2: Done - thank you, Shely! Would love to breed something for you, just let me know. And I still think that co-op poetry lineage would be a nice project.

I am planning to (eventually) do a poetry lineage project; Jabberwocky had been the poem I had in mind (it has always been my favorite, and I've had it memorized for decades), but "Father William" is right up there with me, too. Or one that I don't know the name of, but starts off with "In form and feature, face and limb, I grew so like my brother, that people mistook me for him, and each for one another." The poem ends with the writer dying, but his brother getting buried in his stead. It's rather a silly poem, which is precisely why I love it.

I didn't recognise the first line but when you mentioned one brother getting buried in his brothers place, I remembered. Wikipedia to the rescue! It's "The Twins" by Henry Sambrooke Leigh. And it's perfect because all male dragons look like twins!
Do you have any specific plans for the lineage yet? -
No, not really. I have to think about it. I haven't had much chance to think with finals finishing up for me.
-
You are welcome,Bajka and walkinslow.:)
If anyone is interested, maybe we could choose a poem related to plants/flowers? And for the type...I personally prefer PB checker.
We should choose a poem first, then breed. -
I hate to say this, but this topic is probably the most popular one on the Flowergame forum, which seems a little ironic. lol Does the DC have a forum? (I ask just out of curiosity.)
I would love to see the RAK badge.
-
Oh, DC has a HUGE board, with thousands of people discussing things (on-topic and off-topic). To tell the truth, I found it rather intimidating at first because there were so many sub-forums about stuff I couldn't even figure out after I had read the thread (like lineages *grin*). Now I feel a bit more comfortable about it, and it is certainly a great source of information.
The ARK thread is there: http://forums.dragcave.net/index.php?showtopic=41755 (the badges are on the first page).
A poem about flowers is a great idea! Well, I guess "Daffodils" has already been done, but there are lots of others, like "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may" etc.
-
The DC forum is huge, but I'd advise to stay away from general discussion. It can get very aggressive there I nearly deleted my account because of a general discussion topic...but thats neither here nor there.
-
I agree with Corvino, it's not an enjoyable place to visit, unlike this one, people are friendly here
-
Thanks for all the imput, everyone! And thanks for the link, walkinslow. I was able to see the two awards.
I wonder why they are so aggressive at that game? I mean, why would that be?
-
definitely agreeing that you shouldn't go into general discussions or suggestions unless you have a lot of time on your hands. it's very fast-moving and there's a lot of debate. nowadays, when i do go onto the forums, i just stay in the trading and breeding forums.
edit: what do you mean by aggressive?? in the forums or in the actual game?
-
I've been reading some of this thread and have run across the term "aggressive", but I think it was being applied to the game, not the forum. That was my mistake.
-
The DC forums can get quite heated. It's very different from here.
Here, with a little luck, everyone can collect everything. There, it's a lot more cut throat and people get very passionate about collecting and trading for 'rare' dragons. Lots of different opinions on what should and shouldn't be changed about how the game works and stuff. Also think there are lots more younger players who have yet to learn some of the nicer social graces. XD -
I wonder why they are so aggressive at that game? I mean, why would that be?The game itself is much more competitive and a lot depends on how fast You can click.. which partly depends on Your internet connection. So people on a fast connection have a definite advantage over the rest and can basically charge You an arm and a leg for a rare caveborn. On the other hand there are lots of people who gift eggs/hatchlings.. but if You want some caveborn you simply don't have a chance of getting them on Your own if You have slow internet. You have to be on the forum too and that can be tiresome, like collecting caveblockers for getting a rare (Thats how i got mine, and they are not cb).
The general discussion threads are often very heated and well.. aggressive. They are moderated but well, mods have a real life too.. *g*, so I quit discussions there when an older user basically told me I could stuff my opinion where the sun never shines.
-
I had no idea so many people have such bad experiences on the DC forum.
I like it, but I do stay away from large parts of it and mostly keep to the trading, help and breeding threads or talk to people I know via PM. -
