How many flowers are needed till a new player gets the Forest Garden? I have over 50 flowers and no Forest Garden.

It isn't a matter of how many you have, but how many you have raised. If you got some as gifts, those won't count towards how many you need to get the garden.
I think it's 50, but I could be wrong. Just remember that they have to be adults, and only adults that you've raised for yourself will count.

It's only 40. And just as @MiaSkywalker said, only plants which you owned the moment they grew up, will count.

Maybe who knows. Is there anyway to tell how many I have raised myself without having to go through them all? -
I don't think we have such a counter yet. I'd like to see one for sure if possible xD

Yeah but DC eggs are much different then the ones on here and I don't see the eggs here on there. -

I'm pretty sure you have to hatch the egg, and grow up the hatchling, if that's what you're meaning

But that doesn't sound like that Extermians is saying. Sounds to me like you can get a seed or a sprout from someone else just as long as you own it when it grows from sprout to adult.

If I counted correctly your are only 2 plants away from 40 self raised plants.
As soon as some of your current sprouts mature you´ll get the forest lake.

I am ?? Funny I did not think I have raised that many in the short time I have been playing this game
I guess I will find out soon enough. -
Well, if you think about it, 40 seeds is just 10 rounds (used to be more, when we only had 3 pots), and each set takes 4 days, so it only takes a little over a month. And that's not really all that long at all.
