I grew 18 so far and nothing for me either. Does the first Biting Dandelion you get come from breeding, or from the Wild Garden, or can it be either? I've been breeding mine once I grew 15 from the Wild Garden. Is that the wrong way? Or is it random chance and we have to keep waiting?
Dandelion that bites

Interesting, my first Bitey was from the Garden in 2019, and my second one from 2023 was bred.
I am hoping the mechanic still works. Maybe you have to breed one or two?
-
I seem to have bred both mine.
-
I always have 2 dandelions, one from the garden and one bred so I will see when I get it (sometimes) lol
-
Thanks for the confirmations! It seems they can be bred or from the Wild Garden. I'll keep trying both!
-
Good luck

I have a total of 3 biting dandelions, I found two and got one after trying for a long time (3 in total) to breed

Congratulations!!!
I am glad that you succeeded in your quest.

I'm up to 30 Dandelions in my garden but haven't gotten a biting one yet, wow! After all this time, it's going to really shock me when I finally see one of my sprouts grow into one, haha. Is anyone else still working on getting one?
-
How odd. IIRC it may help to breed one, if you haven't done that yet ?
-
A number of mine have been bred, but thank you for the tip! I'll try to keep breeding them (maybe after Halloween season is done) and see what happens.

I just wondered if - sort of - variety in attempts helped. It does with dragons, assuming you play that too ! Give up on trying to a green from that pair fpr now, and breed him with something else this week - and next time he co-operates....

I took a break from trying to get one, then just recently bred another pair of Dandelions while my first batch of 3 Winter Daphnes were growing up... and FINALLY I got a biting Dandelion! For me it took having around 33 Dandelions (bred and wild) before a biting one showed up! But I'm so excited it finally worked!! If anyone else is having a hard time getting one, keep trying and breed different pairs, it'll show up eventually!

Congratulations for achieving your goal!

Sorry to post on something a few months old, but I was wondering if the first biting Dandelion needs to come from breeding? I'm at 15 grown, and have 1 sprouted and 3 seedlings but they're from the wild garden. I'm thinking maybe I need to breed instead from how it sounds like most have gotten their first?
-
I think it does, because I have breeded a lot of them before I got it, I think more than 15
-
Yes it does; biting ones only come from breeding.
Oops - EXCEPT that you can get one wild after you own AT LEAST 25 dandelions. But it's HARD.
-
Ok thanks for the replies! Will start breeding them when my seeds grow up
-
Oops that was 15 not 25....
