Why do I have to find the new plants in other people's greenhouses first? 'Why can't there simply be some news, that one can see while watering the plants? Probabely I will miss the start of christmas specials this way... but christmas is the same date every year, isn't it?

Gruenkern, I doubt anything will start before December 6th, unless it's the regular December plant (it would be so nice if we could get at least one batch of these before the event). The only thing you can do is check the Wild Garden every day, beginning from December 5th or so
And I couldn't agree more, the in-game news (or forum news, for that matter) would be awesome, especially at least four days in advance In this way, there would be no need to abandon seeds we have taken. -

I stopped reading the collection thread long time ago. I like to see new plants growing up in my garden and I don't want to know what they look like before my own plants grew up. -
