my seeds had sprouted in there 3 pots, leaving me 3 open pots. I was looking to fill my empty pots with seeds and saw someone had abandoned a second stage sprout. I picked it up and continued to hunt for seeds. Then, another sprout showed up in the wild garden and I picked it up. I filled my 3 pots with seeds and found 2 more sprouts which I was allowed to pick up. SO, I have 3 seeds and 7 sprouts. Is this a bug or exploit? Or is it okay? 
I don't want to be in trouble.

You have a limited number of seeds but the number of sprouts is not limited, as I see it. Once I had I think 5 sprouts and 3 seeds at the same time.

Only the number of seeds is limited. You may have as many sprouts as you want to. This could possibly change one day, but it's just fine for now.

Oh, wow, I've never seen any sprouts in the wild garden before! And I just looked quite a bit and didn't find any! Good for you!
