There's apparently ANOTHER new egg in the Alpine area. "The wind gusts around this egg." That was NOT the one that was dropping earlier!

Thank you for telling us! I ended up having to drop one to the AP, and then incu-hatch several others, but I managed then to get four of each of them.
I thought the one that would be in all habitats would be easier than the one in the volcano, but boy, was I wrong about that!

Yes, I understood that. But Shelybear kept saying "we" so I wondered if it was something that was done as a group effort. Apparently not, I guess. Sorry Shely that it got messed up somehow. I wonder what happened to it...?
Mia, that looks amazing!

Oh, I hadn't noticed she said that. I suspect "we" was referring to the fact that Exterminans helped her with it. (I think he deliberately dropped seeds of the same breed all in a row for her.) So the fact that half of the lineage is missing means that it may be impossible for her to reduplicate the effort.

What is this? Are you all passing a plant to breed...or what, exactly?

Her first gen had 8 plants whose numbers were all in consecutive order, and then their children were in consecutive order as well. It's not something easily done, as you can't be certain that seeds with numbers consecutively will be the same breed, so what she had was pretty amazing.

It might be. There have been a couple of people over the years who have quit the game, and have requested that their accounts be deleted. I think both of them gave away as much as they could before leaving, so those plants probably would say the previous owner is "unknown".

Oh, that is strange. Yes, I distinctly remember it going to fourth gen. I wonder how that one plant could have been stripped of its parentage?

Tapeape: The links on those is somehow messed up, because clicking on any of those names leads to the same garden. (# 740)
-
Hm... I heard about those laws (wish we had them in the U.S.!), but if they did something here? That's very odd, all right.
In that case, fixing it might be harder, because it might be back end. Then again, maybe there's just something you need to enable/disable.
-
I'm wondering if this is ever going to be fixed. While the images being broken is minor, the links themselves don't work at all. For instance, if I post link to a seed, when you click on it, you will be brought to a "page" that is just the image of that seed. That means gifting links are completely broken right now, and the adoption thread has no function.
I suspect it's an easy fix, like an extra bracket or a missing bracket in the code. I've done that many times, so I know that can cause this kind of effect.
-
Wow, Alia, a lot of those are really old gardens! Too bad the users stopped playing.
-
Just realized another problem with this issue. Usually the image leads to an actual link (gift link, lineage, the flower itself), but right now if you click it, it clicks to just the image. So you can't use these links to see the flower and view, say, the lineage, or to pick up the flower that's been posted in the thread.
I'd say someone was trying to do something and forgot a bracket, or inadvertently added an extra bracket. Or put a comment within a comment, so the end of the second comment ended the first. I've done all of those things before, so I know that they can cause weird issues.

What is happening with all the images on the forums? I noticed that the posts were showing code instead of images, so I went to edit one of my posts. What I discovered is that in edit mode the images show, but when you get out of edit mode, those images go back to being code.
Is anyone else seeing this? Or is it somehow just me? If it's just me, then it's probably an extension I have installed, but I would like to know if others are seeing it too.
(The adoption thread is the easiest place to see the problem, since it's the most image-heavy.)

Yeah, and apparently any eggs you buy on the marketplace will not be tradeable. That way you can't get a gold, say, and trade it to someone for a prize, I suppose. But maybe it's also to discourage hackers from getting in to someone's account and essentially stealing their shards by buying eggs and trading them off.
I haven't even SEEN florets in the biomes, but I suppose I don't spend as much time hunting for eggs as some might.
Lately I've been working on a lineage for these, so I haven't really been focusing on the caves. I will definitely be able to get up to fifth gen, and I'm trying to be able to go as high as sixth. Not sure I have enough of the nebulas to do it, though. I may end up buying some on the marketplace to finish, who knows?

I really like the new winter seasonals! I always liked the old seasonals, but the newer ones are better. I definitely like the changes there.
Apparently the marketplace was missing golds earlier, and they've already been added. So I'm presuming they're still working on the marketplace, and it's not quite in its finalized form.
Interestingly, florets are only 200 shards, so they'll be easier to get through the marketplace than through the caves. Which may end up making them easier to get in the cave.

I'm definitely planning to save up for at least one gold, but that will take almost a year. Oh well, I can be very patient. :p

Thank you for letting us know! Otherwise I probably would have missed out on the release.
Interestingly, I think they just changed the sprite for the red dragon late yesterday. I use them all the time, so I pretty much saw when the change occurred. I like the new sprite better than the old one; it looks more detailed and realistic.
I also just checked out the new marketplace page, which is pretty cool. It's missing a few breeds; I know for certain that it's missing Copper (I looked specifically for that one), so I'm betting others have been forgotten as well.

Oh, one thing really neat about it, is it got seed/egg 100,000 as one of the great grandparents.

Actually, it seems that Foxxglove has just returned to the game, as their flowers are fresh. And so are KittyBeary's.
Ohhh! I think KittyBeary might not know you have to play games to water your plants, and I don't think s/he checks the forums. I sent her my usual PM at the beginning welcoming her, and she never took the flowers I offered. So I suspect she just doesn't know what she needs to do for her garden.
Tawanda used to be a regular to the forums, but she hasn't been here in a while. So her garden truly is abandoned.
Mikan: Welcome to Flower Game.
