*gespannt sei*. Die Piepsilein-stube sieht fertig aus. Wann wird die Brut beginnen?
Bei solchen Anlässen fällt mir immer wieder auf, wegcam-technisch herrscht hier noch tiefes Mittelalter. Ich soll den Zustand mal optimieren.

Stimmt, das Nest ist seit Freitag fertig ... ich denke, das kann noch ein, zwei Tage dauern ... die Amsel ist noch auf Hochzeitsreise ...

... eine neue Funkkamera würde sicher bessere Bilder liefern, wäre aber ziemlich teuer

I just saw one of the birds. It looks if it was testing if the nest fits.

if you shrink the video (second button at the right side over the picture), you have better quality of the video and you can see the chat with my comments
Kleiner Tipp für alle:
wenn Ihr das Video schrumpft (zweiter Button an der rechten Seite über dem Bild), dann hat das Bild eine etwas bessere Qualität und man kann den kleinen Chat sehen mit meinen Kommentaren

I'm trying it again right now. It hasn't finished loading yet though. Strange, because I saw something flash up on the screen and then it went blank. Now it won't load! (Still loading!

Oh, I'm so sorry, but it is too early! Normally I take the cam on between 8 and 9 o'clock in the morning till ... hmmm ... 7 in the evening. The other time it is to dark for my cam

I was able to see some of the clips in the row at the bottom - that is very neat that you have this! How did you set it up? On anther forum, someone posted a link to some eagles' nest in British Columbia - that was interesting too.

It's silly
... to make the videos I have to the break the live transmission ... then ... sometimes ... I can save a video. That works not always smooth, but it is fine, that you can have a look at it Das ist ziemlich doof ... um ein Video zu erzeugen, muß ich die Liveübertragung unterbrechen ... dann ... manchmal ... kann ich ein Video speichern. Klappt leider nicht immer reibungslos ... aber es ist schön, dass Du welche sehen konntest

I love birds and love watching them. I have one bird feeder and used to have a gold finch feeder - those a neat. I've asked for one for my birthday - I hope I get it!

Endlich sehe ich sie beim Brüten und Eier wenden. Sie macht das richtig gut. Wer mag den Tierchen das alles beigebracht haben? Schimpansen hält man für sehr weit entwickelt. Sie können Hilfsmittel als geeignet erkennen und damit Nahrung herbei holen. Aber Nestbau ist komolex und um einiges abstrakter als... "Stöckchen aportieren". Es muss dürres Material sein. Am einzelnen Halm ist der Nutzen des Nestes noch nicht erkennbar. Und dann ist noch die "assoziative" Verbindung bis hin zum realen Wärmebedarf der Eier zu einer Zeit, in der sie noch nicht einmal die Hochzeit kennen. Das Verhalten ist genetisch verankert, so wie unsere Allerkleinsten schwimmen können, was ihnen später nicht mehr gelingt. Hmmm...
