I hope that we'll be able to breed the Hearts of Valentine with the Bleeding Hearts - we could breed Jack-o-Lanterns with pumpkins and Christmas Trees with Poinsettias. I'm looking forward to seeing if there's a new plant, too, although I sort of hope it's not a rose...roses are real plants and it seems that most (not all) of the holiday plants are imaginary.
I'm sure that it'll be great no matter what happens, though. The holiday events on here have always been very interesting.

They called Viola or pansy . Hm, a nice flower for springtime.

Oh, I'd love pansies...they're such pretty flowers! They do come in lots of different colors, though.
Another reason that I like them is that in English, calling someone a pansy is an insult meaning that they're weak or wimpy. I just find it interesting to compare a person to a flower and think that it would be an interesting (and slightly humorous) addition to the game.

I noticed that, too, Truelinor. I assume that it may have something to do with the time frame in which they're taken? If it's taken multiple times in X amount of time, then the gifting from one person who has recently received it doesn't get counted?
This is pure speculation on my part. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's the only thing that I can come up with.

EDIT: Or maybe, if person A has it, then it's taken by person B, then person A takes it back, it doesn't count person B giving it back to person A?
Say that you posted the link, then I took it, then you took it back. It would say "from Truelinor to SnowPlow", skip over the "From SnowPlow to Truelinor", then go straight to "From Truelinor to (whoever comes next). I think that this makes more sense from the game standpoint - why would you count a gift that was given back to the same person immediately afterward?

SnowPlow - that is wonderful how you got all the point values for us! I guess we'll have to do the same for the new theme, right? Would you be doing that again? I'll have to come back here - hope you do!

I'll do it again for the new theme. It'll probably be faster this time, too, because I assume that the point values will be the same.
I can't wait to see what the new items are, especially those that subtract from your points.

As for this bundle of twigs - over here in Poland and probably in Germany, too, you are warned that if you are not a good kid, you can expect to get a bundle of twigs as your Christmas gift. It's probably the same thing as coal in English-speaking countries.

My parents used to tell me that I'd get a "bundle of switches" (sticks used to hit kids who misbehaved) as well as coal if I was bad. Most of my friends haven't, though, and I am partially German and Polish (not much, but a bit), so that may figure into it. I'd never heard of a Krampus before, though.

You need 100 or more points to win the game. To do this, collect items to gain points.
I'm not certain, but after a bit of testing, I've come up with these tentative numbers for how much you'll gain/lose from specific items items:

    Items that give you points:

    Present: +10 points

    Purple ornament: +7 points

    Green Ornament: +6 points

    Candy cane: +4 points

    Pink ornament: +3 point

    Crescent-shaped cookies: +2 points

    Star-shaped cookies: +1 point

    Items that lose you points:

Bundle of switches (I think that's what it is?): -8 points

Winter comes with coldness, snow and slush. Time to create a cozy nest at home. Every year in December, red pointed caps diving out of nowhere. Is there even still Yuletide Lads, which losing up their caps during their bustling festive preparations?

Winter comes with coldness, snow and slush. Time to create a cozy nest at home. Every year in December, red pointed caps appear out of nowhere. Do Yuletide Lads, (who lose? I'm a bit uncertain as to what the original meaning was...) their caps during their bustling festive preparations, still even exist? (I'm not sure about that last part, either. The original sentence was a bit awkward, but I'm not sure if my suggestion helped very much.)

Thanks for telling me. I think that I understand that...I had assumed that nouns were all considered to be either male or female, regardless of actual gender. I also hadn't previously understood the difference between haben and habe. Thank you...your example and explanation helped very much!

Signed. Never heard of the poppies before, but they look great. I would like to add one of my favorite reginal flowers: Traubenhyanzinthe / Muscari http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscari

*Gasps* You've never seen California Poppies? My whole yard is full of them - they take over so quickly!
I think I have some of what you call Muscari, too, except that I've only heard them called Grape Hyacinths. I'm all for both California Poppies and Grape Hyacinths/Muscari. They're both very nice plants, and they can survive the neglect that my yard usually gets. :P

Sorry! I had forgotten about this! Thanks so much, Aztekior and Arikel! I don't think that I'm quite good enough to understand everything that you said, but it was very useful, all the same. I don't know enough German words to write this in German without using a translator, but maybe I will at some point.

Based on the few words that I have learned and memorized, would these sentences be correct?

"Ich haben ein Katze. Er ist neun Jahre alt und sehr faul." (I did have to look a few of these words up...I hadn't learned "lazy/faul" or "very/sehr" yet.) This is in English sentence structure. I'm not exactly sure how to put "haben" and "ist" at the beginning of the sentence (if that's what you mean by putting whatever describes time at the beginning?) and rearrange to rest to make it make sense. I don't quite understand what you mean by "major sentence" and "minor sentence". Maybe they are called something else at my school?

I was also told by a teacher at school that German sentence structure is similar to how Yoda talks in Star Wars. Is that true?

Thanks so much for your help, both of you! I'm sorry that I had previously forgotten about this.

Sorry! Ich hatte das vergessen! Thanks so much, Aztekior undArikel!

I'm extremely confused. What makes the chicken lay an egg? I think I've clicked on everything, then the chicken, and still can't figure it out. Would someone mind helping?

Ich bin extrem konfus. Was lässt das Huhn ein Ei legen? Ich denke, dass ich an alles, dann das Huhn geklickt und es nicht habe herausfinden kann noch. Würde jemand sich kümmern zu helfen?
