Actually, 9th May is victory day in Russia - for Western European countries it's 8th May. And those two days are also "Time of Remembrance and Reconciliation for Those Who Lost Their Lives during the Second World War."
Eigentlich, ist 9. Mai Tag des Sieges im Russland - in Westeuropa es ist 8. Mai. -
I come from a former communist country, so for me 1 May is mostly International Workers' Day.
Ich stamme aus einem ehemaligen kommunistischen Land, deshalb ist fur mich 1. Mai meistens Arbeitstag. -

Hit me with a stick, I cannot find the last one and I've looked everywhere.

At the moment mature plants cannot die from lack of water or sun. And non-mature plants simply stop growing, so when you come back, you will just have to water them and banish clouds from the sun.

Having learnt both languages (I'm Polish, so neither English nor German is my native language) I must say that German is much easier than English. It may seem hard at the beginning, when you have all those things that are different from English (like noun gender, different verb forms that depend on the subject) but then it gets a lot easier.
From my point of view as a teacher - why don't you get one of those self-study books (I don't know any English ones but I'm sure there are a lot of them)? A book where you have some grammar (preferably explained in English), some vocabulary, some reading and some listening. They are really helpful. -
Only if you get it from someone that wants to give it away or trade (which, I'd say, is more probable for the Christmas tree than the Valentine's day flower).

So, correct me if I am wrong, but I take it when you breed two plants, say, two blue ones, you could end up with a different color than the parents? Is that right?
Yes, that's right. It was said somewhere in one of the threads in "News" section.

They don't die at the moment but they used to need water just like seeds and sprouts. And also - the more plants in your signature, the more sun your garden gets: "Get some light by playing minigames or embedding your plants into your signature. The more flowers you show, the brighter the sun will shine."

On the top of your garden page, over the watering can, you see the sun. It can be covered by many clouds, just by one or fully visible. Anyway, if you see the text: "The sun shines bright on your garden and makes everything blossom", it means your plants are getting as much sun as they need.

When you gift a flower, go and see your garden

Part 3 / Teil 3
The single, large flower shines brightly like a star, particularly at Christmas time, and smells strongly of cinnamon and gingerbread.
