@Tru: The leaves, and then maybe tomatoes, and grated cheese. The only dressing would be an oil. (I used to use olive oil, it's the best-tasting, but now I'm allergic to it, so I use avocado oil.) It's a bit strong-flavored, for a salad, but I love them. Not boring like lettuce salads. :)

But a really good appetizer / party food is a cracker with a slice of provolone, a slice of tomato, and a basil leaf on top. Very tasty appetizer!

Idril's herb garden is very impressive. She grows a lot more herbs than we do! We usually only grow two or 3 herbs at our home, but our basil bushes get quite huge. Last one grew to be about a foot and a half high, and two feet in diameter. The pots we put them in are pretty large. :) We don't have any this year because of too much RL stuff going on, so I can't show you any pictures.

This is a very STRANGE release for a DC birthday release, I must say. Not sure if I'm glad or disappointed yet. Maybe neither. :) For the past week I haven't caught any eggs in anticipation of the event, and now that seems a bit of a waste.

I only have one GoN at the moment, because I've never successfully summoned a second. I wonder - if I fail to summon with one set of trios, does that make me unable to try with another? I've never checked it before.

Edit: Didn't manage to summon (and I guess it's per scroll, not per trio), but I did manage to get one of the new eggs. :)

Edit 2: If the dragons from these breedings are breedable, we ought to do some trades here and make some nice GoN lineages, don't you guys think? :)

My mother and I grow basil every year; I love basil salads. (My father hates them, so we make our salads individually at dinner.) Basil with tomato and mozzarella/provolone cheese is delicious! :)

The blooms on basil are pretty, and they look very nice in salads. :) But they ARE a bit on the strong side, so we usually use them in cooking. They lend tomato sauce a really nice flavor!

Oh ..thank you..I will search for it... :)

Ah..found it. Its not easy for my to find things in this forum, sorry.

Figuring out the private messaging aspect of this forum is a bit confusing for most of us. :) You get used to it after a while, but it's not as intuitive as it is on many forums. But this forum has many features (some slightly hidden), that are well worth the complexity!

Since ShelyBear is checking the mistakes...and I am here too. :P

(Just a suggestion) Ants are animated by a nutritious adjunct of the seeds to take them away.

I disagree on this one. "Them" is too vague; it could be referring to either the seeds or the ants. (And in fact, the way you worded it makes it sound more like the ants.) The sentence would need complete rewording, otherwise it's best left the way it is.

Thanks! :3 It was one of the first mistakes I noticed when I joined the site.

That's been like this (and commented on) since the female faeries arrived. Thinking about the JavaScript involved, it would be difficult to code for the gender since the faerie that pops up on the page is completely random. The only way it could be done is an if/else statement that could get pretty complex, and might slow down page loading for many people.

The seeds, to which a large, fleshy growth containing nutrients is attached, are collected and distributed by ants.

No, Shelybear, actually the original is correct. The "is" refers to the large fleshy growth, not to the seeds. Otherwise it would have to be something indicating that the fleshy growth is multiple, not singular. I'm unfamiliar with the plant, so I don't know if that would be correct.

Your other corrections are otherwise correct, and you certainly pay more attention than I do. :) (I almost never read the descriptions - I only look at the flowers. :))

Idril: With the oregano and basil, when you see blooms growing, cut them off. If you allow them to flower and go to seed, the plant will die. If you keep cutting the blooms off, the plant will last a lot longer.

The basil blooms (I don't know about oregano) are also edible, and are great in salads and in cooking. They have a stronger taste than the leaves so actually work very well in cooking.

Well, any name CAN be stolen, it's just unlikely that some would be. Like, as Shelybear said, "Sherlock Holmes" might be wanted, but "Sherlock Holmes xxxxx" (where xxxxx is a specific last name that a particular user always uses) probably would not be.

I now always add the code to the names I give my dragons (so I can track them for breeding, and so that I don't have to worry that a name is already taken), and no one else is going to want QOILb as part of their dragon's name, for instance. So, for instance I named one of my dragons "Guardian of the Heart nu9uV". Where "Guardian of the Heart" might be wanted (or already taken), by me adding his dragon code, I'm pretty safe. :)

I do have a few older dragons with unique names that don't have codes, and I would have to worry about those. I'll just have to hope that no one has those names on a wishlist. :(

Yeah, I'm not so sure about it either. If you take a break for a few months, it shouldn't make your dragons lose their names. But then, it's not something automatic; you'll only lose a name if someone also wants it. I tend to give my dragons names that include their code, so none of mine would ever get snagged from me.
