I went to Bali last month for a vacation and visited a coffee plantation. They produced coffee flavored with lots of different things and they kept a few civets in cages and only fed them fruits and the coffee berries and then collect the droppings to make the kopi luwak. I felt really sorry for the animals because they were really skinny little things and I'm sure were totally malnourished. 100g of the kopi luwak was US$150. For being caretakers of the world, mankind sure knows how to make other species suffer for their own material gain.

While many of us have bunnies, I don't think many people had two or more. I feel like a lot of us only had time to get one or two, and because they only breed with each other, not with regular plants, there are far fewer being produced. I feel many people are probably in the same boat as I- we would gladly breed our bunnies for others, if we had enough to breed any.

Here's a thought: Those with 3 bunnies from last year should have one spare after they breed their two so why not "loan" the extra bunny out to someone with only 1 bunny(have to make sure you can trust the person to return it) so they'll have a chance to breed another Easter egg and have it hatch/sprout before they start dropping in the Wilderness? I loaned out my extra bunny so another person has been able to breed and get an egg now. Just a thought :whistling:

Well, it looks like they have taken action for you already, calenlass.

Oh wow, I didn't want that to happen, having a limit on dumping seeds. It's kinda like a double-edge sword that if someone who like me wants to have a "non-historic plant"(or whatever you call it) and picked up the same number of seeds that other people have dumped, we'd be stuck with that seed for 24 hours. It's not actually the "plant with history" part that's bothering me, it's the mess of names in the plant history that takes up all that space on the plant page. I'm sure some people will be really happy to know that Person A has picked up the same seed 6 times before a few someone else's have done the same but the reason I go to the Wild Garden is to get a plant with no history, and nurture and give that plant a home in my garden. It makes it easier to trade it later too because I'm sure people put a higher value on plants with no history whatsoever.

I think the best would be to do away with that part of the history, that way we won't know how many people have picked it up before us, but I guess that wouldn't satisfy people who like history on their plants :P

Can I ask, very politely, for people not to keep picking up seeds and abandoning them continuously? It seems that almost every Bleeding Heart I come across in the Wild Garden is an abandoned one by the same person who first picked them up. May I ask if there is a certain seed that is being seeked that requires them all to be picked up and abandoned, seemingly with enthusiasm?
I would prefer any seeds I pick up in the Wild Garden not to have a dozen names attached to them so I would very much appreciate it if some Bleeding Hearts seeds without names attached can be left for others. Thank you.

Hmm, does this mean you can only get maximal 4 seeds anyway? *is confused* ?(

If all your pots are filled with seed already when the pixiepost sends the parcel, you can still click on the parcel and take the seed, somehow they ignore your full pots and bring their own pots so you'll have 5 pots with seeds. However, if you have empty pots when you click on the parcel, these seeds will take 2 pot spaces so you'll only be able to take another seed. So, the best move would be to fill up all your pots with seeds from the wild garden and then pick up the parcel, that way, you'll have 5 seeds

Any ideas if something special will appear in the Wild Garden for New Year's. Will we be getting the Lucky Clover or a different variant this time? I haven't heard anything regarding any plants for New Year's so I'm wondering.

Thank you so very very much, mblansett...ajagol...and the rest who've offered to help. After the egg part, everything seemed to just work itself out and I got the parcel. Thank you once again. You guys rock!!

Not that I'm complaining or anything but I wish we could breed the Christmas Star much earlier than on the 24th. If we lock ourselves with those seeds, there's no way we can take the 2011 Xmas seeds that I'm sure will be dropping on Xmas day.

What did you mean by weekend?
As I was taught weekends start on Friday ;)) So when can we expect the Christmas trees to appear? ;)

And since the post was done on the 12th, does next weekend mean Christmas weekend or this weekend, as in today? I can't decide if I want to collect more cacti seed or wait for the Christmas trees if they're going to appear soon.

Does it matter which type of Christmas tree? The only one I have is the burning one.

calendass - you went to Hawaii last year? Don't you just love it?! I went for a visit one time - back in '08. ^^

Yes truelinor, had loads of fun in Hawaii, spent 3 weeks there, only came back right before new years.

Oh, and I believe you can breed any Christmas tree with the Poinsettia.
