Well, just a moment ago I wasn't logged in. And when I wanted to click "water it" for one of abandoned plants, I was redirected to login page.

Well, now with "small changes" in place, it seems that using yarold's stops making sense because you need to be logged in to help those plants. But on the other hand, logged players can give a lot of help to those abandoned plants.
Edit - OK, so far I've been able to provide some more sunlight to all the plants that are fully grown and give half a drop of water to several that had none. If only the people active in this thread took a bit of time to click some abandoned plants (not all of them, there is a limit, as Exterminans said), we should see them grown rapidly. And without the hassle of clicking on yarold's.

Great - that's probably why they are sprouting and growing up so rapidly. I've put gruenkern's plants in my sig on another forum and it also seems to be working.
Edit - the cornflower in your post has just sprouted, idril. -
Now it's two new sprouts in gruenkern's post and one fully grown poppy in idril's.

-
Two sprouts are fully grown now, so only three seeds are left.

If I understand Exterminans correctly, the 2010 alt was available both from the wild garden and as a result of breeding. And my experience certainly supports it - I got one 2010 alt from breeding and two from the wild garden. And I still have three seeds from the wild garden that aren't fully grown. I also got one 2012 alt from the wild garden so far and two 2011 alts from breeding.
Edit - the three fully grown jack-o'lanterns in my signature are all from the wild garden, as you can see if you click them. -
Yes, that's exactly the point. You can get 2011 jack-o'lanterns only from breeding, this year's only from the wild garden, but the 2010 variety you can get from both.
-
And now there are some new sprouts both in gruenkern's post and idril's post, which is nice to see.

Thanks for your answer, Exterminans. So it seems that someone took them and thrashed instead of abandoning. Well, nevermind - I suppose you can always expect that when you abandon a seed into the wild garden.

There is a thing that bothers me - I've bred two Audreys and put the seeds in the wild garden. One I hoped to get back, as it was fully watered (but parentless pumpkins from the garden were much more important for me at the moment - I still do not have this year's variety). Just a moment ago I've checked my Audreys and I cannot see their children. What I see are two possibilities - either someone took them from the garden and then thrashed them because they were bred and not parentless (which strikes me as rather unpleasant, they could simply abandon them) or they disappeared from the wild garden because the event has ended.

Just a moment ago I could not access the forum for a few minutes. The game was fine, the problems were with just the forum.

We're definitely seeing some new growth. The heather hidden behind the Christmas tree picture has sprouted, as well as a poppy (all three from gruenkern's post).
-
Yup, the snowflake game is slow also for me. And I was thinking it's my computer's fault.
-
Good news
2 Christmas trees have sprouted in gruenkern's post ... but this is where I get confused because when you click on the 2nd one it opens up as an unsprouted heather seed (probably just an image posting error).Yes, that's an image posting error, I've also noticed it.
-
Aquarian, I would gladly breed a snappy tree stump for you, I have three from last year - but unfortunately for some reason they do not seem to have a breeding option.

-
Possibly, although last year the seeds were available for much longer (one of my Audreys was taken on the 11 November).

A few hours ago I managed to find two parentless jack-o'lantern seeds in the wild garden but I had to breed my Audreys from the previous year to get a seed.
