    *dusts off the wish thread*

As I'm _finally_ done with college, I can get back into my online hobbies with zest. And I realize that besides Gardenia, I'd love to see other types of lilies. The Arum Lily (Zantedeschia) is fine, but there is soooo much more!

My personal lily garden had such a variety of color and petal styles - lilies are second to gardenias for me. I believe they can be done rather well here in the game. The entire tribe of Lilieae would be great to see (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilieae)!

These are the varieties I grew in my personal garden until the dogs ruined my beds... I've got bulbs in storage until I can convince my family members to train their dirt loving canines. :(

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilium (would have several different color and petal types, includes Asiatic, Tiger, and other colorful and patterned blooms)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiocrinum (some people call these Trumpet or Giant Lilies)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notholirion (small flower, but cute and bulbs propagate fast in the tropics)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gagea (small, golden yellow and great for lower-level blooming)

    Other Lilies of note...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gagea_serotina (also called the Lloydia - tiny little lily of arctic/alpine regions)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nymphaeaceae (the basic "lilypad" plant and flowers)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nelumbo (originally classified as a lotus, but is not related at all. Is part of Chinese cuisine and medicine - a friend here grows them)

What I've found to be rather interesting abut Lilies in general is that their entire genus as been redistributed in the 1990's. So flowers that were originally thought to be, say, tulip variety, are actually lily! And some lilies are altogether something else!

Anyhoo... just adding to the long list of "please make this flower" to the artists.

Luʻuluʻu Hanalei i ka ua nui, kaumaha i ka noe o Alakaʻi...
Hanalei is downcast with great rains, with mists of Alakaʻi...

This is sad... I might not be much of a poster, but her influence was seen - it was her style that brought me here. ;(

Filipino friend from Manila laughs when I make spaghetti. She calls it, "pansit with tomatos". Pansit is a Filipino noodle dish with all kinds of stuff mixed in, kinda like how I make my veggie spaghetti.
Visited friends in Eastern Pennsylvania - Penn Dutch Country I'm told - and the phrase that got me floored was, "Outen the light." I'm told it means "Turn off the light." Yeah, I was very confused there for a bit.

And something here in Hawaii that for us here is every day slang, but for a certain group of European people, gets confusing. We say, "Portagee" meaning a very stupid, ignorant or naive person - but is sometimes confused with "Portuguese" meaning people from Portugal. Depending on how well you know certain people, and how thick the pidgin-English-accent being spoken is, the two words are flipped back and forth and can be derogatory or used as a term of endearment. Seriously, it really confuses people who are not in the know. Gets interesting when I'm talking to a cousin (who is a portagee-Portuguese). Being a local, I get it. But my cousin being from Brazil, gets very confused. Poor girl!

Hi! Stumbled across this site and all I gotta say is that I'm thoroughly impressed! Being with DragonCave for several years, I didn't think I'd find another "growth game" that I like.

Now, lemme see if I can get a flower garden here to mimic my RL flowers! :D

    A hui hou!
