There's a new mass drop going on!

Breeding currently results in bronze eggs. However, if many people breed those eggs now, they will become even rarer in the cave.
OTOH, since this is a permanent release, all you have to do is wait for the next moon cycle. That's what I plan to do for the Silvers and Blues since there will probably be a mad rush for them when they first come out. -
Hm, the hot potato idiom exists in German as well, so that might be worth further testing.
Shely, thank you for your answers. Looks like I'll have to give this some more thought.
Ah, the suspense... -
Wow, that's even better! Sorry, I hadn't seen Exterminans' post.
Hm, but if it's a hidden variant, why don't I have a question mark in the potato section of the compendium? (AFAIR, that's what you get with the Biting Dandelion.) Or is it an entirely different seed?Just adding a couple more ideas to test if the metamorphosis can be replicated:
Shely, have you tried gifting another potato to agajol?
Maybe it's the time of day/day of the week/whatever when you collected the seed?
What other seeds did you collect in the same batch?
I noticed the seed took a very long time to sprout. Did you water it regularly, or did you let it dry out?
In order to test this last theory, we could water a dried out potato seed and see what happens.
Found one: http://flowergame.net/view/198392
And another one (the owner seems to have come back, but the seed must have been dry for weeks):

Fascinating. Has this ever happened before??
Well, I have 3 potato variants and no question mark in the compendium. I tend to agree with Alia that the Baked Potato was a glitch, but maybe it will become a feature at some point. -
Wow, what is going on here? Has the mystery been solved? Looks like I really missed *a lot* while I was away!
-
Very pretty! And thank you for activating the news function on the game page, I would have missed it otherwise!
-
How sad, who would do such a thing - first adopt a flower and the trash it?
-
Updated my post in the watering thread and also added some fresh links.
And these have all grown:

Meanwhile, all plants in walkinslow's second post are fully grown now.
Oh, I hadn't even noticed! Actually, I haven't checked my post for quite a while since no one seemed to water those plants (there were always fresh seeds in other posts further up the thread). I will update the list as before.Re minimum time before adding a neglected garden: I think a month is not long enough, it should be half a year or even longer.
-
I think the new drakes will look great with Howlers and Ochres. My favourite is the new pygmy, though.
-
-
For those who were busy with other breeding projects: the new eggs are still dropping in their respective biomes.
-
Sorry I missed the fun this year. I thought the show felt comparatively unspectacular (not necessarily a bad thing), but most performances were quite good. I was rooting for Australia to win, even though that wasn't my favourite song, but it would have been too cool to see the Aussies hold up the ESC trophy! I hope they'll get another chance to take part (and soon, not for the 100th anniversary or something like that)! So sorry to see Austria and Germany with nul points, their songs weren't that bad. My favourite was the Estonian entry, great song, and I loved those simple but efficient light-and-shadow effects! And I tend to agree, out of the top three, the Italian song was the best. But well done, Sweden, they're chasing the Irish record.

Alright then, here's my last batch (presumably) for this season:
-
-
Another two from me:
And I'm very pleased that one of my first batch turned into a rare, my first pink mushroom.
-
Yep, there are still brooms in the wild garden, plus several people bred all their mushrooms and abandoned the seeds.
Belisar, those two are the latest additions, they should grow from parentless seeds. -
