I think they'll be available both for breeding and in the wild starting on Dec 30. That's the impression I get from the OP, at least.

The fact that you have golds and silvers at all is pretty lucky. I have ONE silver and it has never bred for me at all. It's also got a terrible lineage, but as it's my only metallic, I can live with it. I wish I could breed it even once, though; it would be nice to have one of each gender, and I've been wanting to give one to a friend of mine. But the few times I have successfully bred it (and I try every 7 days) it always breeds the other dragon's breed.
I never see metallics in the caves, and have rarely seen them in the AP. If they're bred too often, TJ won't let them appear in the caves, which is part of the problem. So players who don't already have one, or can trade for a bred one, can never get one. It's a bit frustrating.
And I am NOT a new player on DC. I've been playing for several years now. But as I don't want to spend every waking moment playing DC and haunting the appropriate cave just waiting for that silver or gold drop, I suppose it's just never going to happen for me.

I just released a bunch (about 8 or 9, I think) Christmas Star seeds into the wild. They all have parentless parents. I hope a few people who wouldn't otherwise be able to get a second (or first?) set of Christmas Stars will give them some good homes.

Most of the plants in Lissa's post have grown up and need to be moved from that thread to this one. I think there are only two left in her post that are still growing.

Well, I'm hoping that some kind person from either here or there will maybe breed an egg for me NEXT year. I'm patient - I can wait another year if need be.
-
Oh good, I'm glad someone said something. I had wanted to ask and I had forgotten. Good to know, thank you!

I tried catching a holly this year - failed miserably... again. I'm never fast enough to catch one, even though there were a lot more on the AP this year than in previous years.

Oh, all this time I thought it was a juke box.

I really didn't want to make anyone sad, and I'm sorry if my post inhibited anyone. I really do wish everyone a happy Christmas, as I wish it of myself as well. I am trying, and I am sometimes able to forget for a while; it is hard, but I am able to go on.
Please, everyone, I wish all of you a joyous holiday season!

No, fortunately I am not alone; I have my family around me. But I cry a lot right now, because my best friend was very important to me, and they all understand, fortunately.
-
Not to try to bring anyone down or anything, and I hope everyone else is having a happy Christmas, but my best friend passed away rather suddenly a week ago (she was healthy, then she suddenly got sick and died within a day), so... I'm not. Since she died on my birthday, as you might guess I'm feeling very sad this year.
But I hope everyone else is having a good holiday season. Christmas is my favorite time of year, but this year the lights and decorations aren't making me happy like they usually do.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean that while you are full of seeds, at the very end of the event, go ahead and breed everything so they automatically go into the wild? Other than Christmas Stars (so those who don't have anything to breed might grab a couple) I'm not sure how that helps anyone. If there are already Christmas Tree seeds, and if there are a limited number whether bred or wild, all breeding and dropping will do is lower the number of wild seeds, wouldn't it? Unless those numbers are unrelated (which maybe they are). I'm not sure the mechanics of this.
I will probably breed and drop some Christmas Star seeds before the event ends, so newer players who didn't get a chance to breed any might grab a couple. Or even older players, if they are lucky, and if any of those seeds are still in the garden after their lucky clovers sprout. I purposely grew a bunch of poinsettias over the past year, so I would have plenty to breed with Christmas Trees this year.

You need to find it. It's shiny.

The trick is to ask yourself - who/what might steal something shiny?

You know, I gave a Christmas tree away earlier this year (much earlier) not realizing there was a difference, either. Fortunately I think I got another one of that type this year in my new seeds!
-
Oh! Thank you for the really nice Post Pixie gifts!

First the pots, then the table, then the chair! We are being spoiled this year!

That's not what blobber is asking about. She wants to know if there's a way to know if she accidentally gave away the Christmas tree she had with the light red ornaments, and if so, how to trace where it went. She doesn't remember giving it away.

Trulinor - I can't remember exactly, but I think... have you clicked on the vendor who sells it? Usually you have to do that (and then get that vendor what he/she wants).
-
The answer to that is that you don't exactly need eggs, just something that has eggs in it.
