I really love these lineages you guys have done. It inspires me to want to come up with some interesting lineages as well.

Oh, so the Hellhorses can breed true. That's very cool. I wonder if they can throwback to their parents as well?

I don't have any of the coppers, unfortunately. I never saw any of them in the cave the entire day they were released. The creator says they aren't rare, despite the rumors, but unless they start to drop more frequently, I think she's wrong.

I can breed a couple for you if you'd like. I'm blocked right now, but after a few hatch I can breed you some if you want.

I wanted to thank you for this event. I've always loved the work of DA, and when I met him, I found him to be a very kind, warm, funny, and extremely intelligent person, exactly the sort of person I like to be friends with. I was very sad when he passed away at such a young age; I felt that the world lost out from a wonderful writer, and those of us who knew him (I didn't know him as well as I would have liked; we emailed each other after we met, but were too far apart to know each other well) lost out on a wonderful friend. I didn't thank you earlier because every time I tried, I would get a lump in my throat from sadness.

But thank you for this. I didn't know about the holiday in his honor, but because I admired him greatly, I'm glad it exists. Thank you for finding a way to honor him.

Well, if I sounded a bit grumpy, it's because when that thing popped up it startled me enough that I actually jumped out of my seat. (It's red, which is usually reserved for something meant to be alarming.) I was a bit irritated with the makers of that site for that. I tried it again, and when the thing popped up again, I didn't jump out of my seat, but found it so distracting having it right in FRONT of everything (you have to leave the keyboard, use your mouse, and click it away in order to continue, and that's going to slow you down a LOT) that I decided to give up on it.

And the ironic thing is, when I took the government typing test here, they told me I was the fastest typist they'd ever tested. Yet I can't even compare to some of those on the site. I have the feeling that what it's actually testing for is your tolerance of pop up distractions.

Yeah, and I haven't seen ANY of them in any of the biomes. The "Currently being released" page indicates that they may be rare, like golds and silvers, and I don't doubt it. Other days the biomes were occasionally flooded with the new eggs, but the fact that I'm seeing regular eggs in all of the biomes and none of the new ones... not a good sign.

I'm glad they chose to do a bred type in the middle like this. Means some of us can get past being scroll locked for the next batch.

I tried it, and it's a bit annoying when you make a single mistake and it does this ENORMOUS pop up that obscures the rest of the text and distracts you. It makes it so essentially you have to start over again if you even make a single error.

Honestly, the requirement for "typing with no errors" went away with PCs. The idea that your wpm has to be error free is from the old days of typewriters, when erasing a single error was a huge deal. It just isn't anymore. I type extremely fast, but it's not always 100% error free; it doesn't NEED to be since we can always go back and edit if need be. (And we really SHOULD, even if there are no technical errors, because there are always things you can tweak in your writings to make it read better anyway.)

With no errors my wpm is 81. I have no idea what it is WITH errors, since that fricking pop-up was too distracting to me.

EmeraldsLyn, all of the flowers in all of those gardens you posted have grown up. It would help everyone else if you deleted your post, otherwise we have to click on each of those links to know that those flowers don't need us anymore. It would just make things easier on everyone else.

There are a few other posts that people need to remove on that thread also, since the plants are all grown.

And I thought it was clear that the thread was only for abandoned gardens, not for if you're going away for a little while? After all, the plants won't "die" if you don't water them for a few days, they just might not grow for a little bit.

If you turn off Javascript then you're turning off the ads, and that's how DC can stay free. He forces it, because I think a lot of people ALWAYS keep it off so they can snag eggs faster than anyone else.

He's trying to A) keep those people from being hogs, and B) make it so DC stays solvent.

I was a little irritated when I saw that today, but at least I can be philosophical that now EVERYONE has to do it.

You might not wait for the hourly drops. Keep in mind that with the new system, every few minutes there's a new "drop" and the older of the three eggs will drop into the AP. (I've gotten many CB's in the AP lately because of this.) You do have to have a decent connection though. And be fast. Somehow I got lucky and got one, and I am neither fast, nor have a great connection.

TJ said the June release is being skipped. I suspect the sprites they would have used for that are going to this release.

I don't think that the reason for this is less popularity - I suspect the opposite. The only reason he would be able to do a monthly released is if a lot of people wanted to sprite for DC, and he was getting so many offered sprites that he felt he had to use them. I think that's why he decided to start doing monthly releases.

Well, I think we all thought it had to be sacrificed ON the 30th; no one tried afterwards, because if we tried and it did nothing, we would be out a mushroom for no reason.

So does this mean people can still sacrifice a mushroom if they want the oven?

Oh, me too Froglady! I use keyboard shortcuts whenever I can. I too remember the days of DOS! (And programming batch files!)

Yeah, I sacrificed one, but I felt a little unhappy about it. For lore aspects it makes sense, but it made me uncomfortable.
