I think the private message system here has some problems. I sent a PM to blobber, and she got it but thought it was old. (I'm guessing they aren't date-stamped.) She sent me a reply which I have not received.

I had sent two messages to LadyNova back when she posted here (that's why she made this thread). The only reason she knew I had sent something is that I told her on one of the forums that I was sending her a PM. I had tried twice to send a PM, but neither message I sent showed up for either of us.

While it's true that I'm not overly familiar with forums and such, the fact is that it's obviously not very intuitive. Maybe the process could be made a bit easier somehow? Not that I really have any ideas, sadly.

I think she was talking about the PM I sent her. I had NOT deleted it, and I sent it twice, but she never received either message. The system doesn't seem to be exactly intuitive, because I couldn't even find my own messages in any sort of outbox or sent folder or anything.

When you take an egg from the Abandoned Page (AP) or any of the biomes (caves) it is referred to as "stealing" an egg, since supposedly you are stealing it from its mother. The really stupid thing is that even if you breed your own dragons and get the eggs from that, it's still referred to as "stealing". There's no differentiation in the way you get your eggs.

The flowers were only for Valentine's Day, as a week long event. They had bouquets last year as the event. For instance, you can view my bouquet from last year, although they don't have a link to the flowers we got this year. (We can see the ones we each got ourselves, but no one else can view them.)

Ah, good. I think I have my browser zoomed out for certain things I do. Like you, I do web development, and I often have to see large areas of the screen at once. I didn't realize Firefox had this bug. Interesting, since in general it's less buggy than other browsers.

Idril: Doesn't matter. It's still most likely a CSS problem. It can be solved, it may just take some figuring out to determine what part of the CSS code is causing the problem.

I have the latest version of Fire Fox. It happens only on specific variants. For instance, only one of the Christmas Tree variants shows the dots, the others are all fine.

I just noticed something. If I scroll very slowly on the page, the dots appear and disappear as I scroll. Sounds like it's a CSS issue with the padding in each row (or the margins between the rows), so where there's a tiny gap, we're seeing the background image. I'm betting that those who are not seeing the dots either don't have the bright green leafy background image, or haven't tried slowly scrolling their page.

An easy CSS fix is to set the background color for the div that contains the table to white. Then the dark dots will no longer show.

Edit: I think those of you not seeing them are only showing one plant per row, not 8 plants per row.

I've noticed that too. The lines in the images on the greenhouse page, that is. I thought there was something wrong with the image, but since it doesn't happen in your sig, as you say, maybe it's a CSS problem.

Aw, that's too bad. That's why I made sure to send out my grown ones early today, because I knew I wouldn't have enough time once I got home. I just sent out the last few that grew up to get them out to people.

They don't have it so you can click the icon on someone else's page to view their flowers. I think that sucks.

Savynn, your garden was gorgeous! I should have screen captured mine back in day 2, when I thought we would be able to keep our gardens, and mine was full. But then I gave them all away before I thought to do that, so oh well.

Just send them out to everyone who is here, like I did, and gift them randomly. Ooooh! You have lots of biters and irises, I love those! A couple people liked the hyacinths, several liked the hibiscus (LadyNova, Mimmu, and Alia/Delia), and I personally like anything purple. LadyNova also loves Gerberas. Mimmu and I both love roses, and Mimmu also likes sunflowers and sunseekers.

And give things out to everyone, just to do it. That's what I did. I have a few half-grown flowers left, and the likelihood is they WON'T have grown up in time.

Darn, I just realized - Savynn might have needed it. I just looked at her list (admittedly, it's several days old) and she has a Dragon's Head listed as one she needs. Darn, it's too late now. Maybe someone else has one?

Sorry, Dandelion! Didn't know you used EATW's codes. That's a relief! They were all Valentine's day eggs from previous years, so just looking at them here I knew they were in danger. Each of them had only a few hours left. Some people wait until the last minute to nursery them, don't they?

Just took a break to take my medicine, and came back to find dozens of messages from you guys! Wow! Personally, I think this is a great event, and so much fun! It's as fun as the bouquet one last year.

I've still got a dragon's head - anyone need it specifically? Or just really, really want it? I have to leave soon, and won't be back for several hours.

Dandelion, I think you'd better get those eggs to an ER - they're about to die!

Well, LadyNova likes Gerberas and hibiscus, so I think she'll be overjoyed if you send her some. My favorites are roses, orchids, irises, agapanthas, and biters. Mimmu likes roses, hibiscuses, sunflowers and pansies. (I'm presuming sunseeker as well as sunflower, but I could be wrong.) Alia (Delia on DC) likes hyacinths, hibiscus and lily-of-the-valley.

Hibiscus is popular, so you might divide them between them. I sent randomly of my other stuff to everyone else. I think my list is about a dozen people here that are on DC, and I tried to get everyone that I know is doing this event. I don't think everyone is. (Or they didn't say they were on this thread.)

I think everyone likes Dragon's Heads and Dragon's Breaths, too. They're pretty neat.

I've just gotten rid of all of my adults except for a dragon's head. I'm holding on to that just in case anyone needs it. Does anyone? Let me know if you do, and it's on its way!

Or even if you just want it, let me know, and if no one says they need it, its yours.

I've been sending them out now because I'll be in classes this evening for about 6 hours, and won't get home until about 15 minutes before this ends. I'll have time then (if I hurry) to adopt out any that have grown up in the meantime. I'm sending these out randomly if I don't know of a preference. If I missed you, I'm sorry, but I'm trying to send some to everyone.

Otherwise, in a few hours I'm probably just going to randomly send to people. I think this is the last day we can do anything with the gardens, and after that they go away, and all we get to keep are the flowers we received.

Mimmu... I hate to sound like a beggar, but at this point I'm just trying to finish my friend's list. Would you send her the purple ??? and the small sunflower, please? (Not the big sunseeker, which looks more like a sunflower.) If you can, then she's only missing one of the blue spotted orchids (apparently the less common one) and a couple of hyacinths.

Btw, the reason I have so few flowers right now is that I've been sending them out faster than I'm growing them right now. I'll have more by the morning, because I check for seeds every few minutes.

Blobber, could you send the palest hibiscus (it's the one to the far right of your garden, in the middle, sort of a peach color), and the darkest purple hibiscus to my friend zabjade, please? Those are two she is missing. Thanks!

She would only need the purple alstro, because I sent her the other two. Looks like you and I ninja'd each other on the roses. But it would help to know which gerberas and hibiscus she needs, because there are so many of them.

I'm glad you were able to send her the lily of the valley. I had had three of them yesterday, and because I needed to clear out my garden for seeds, I sent them out to people randomly.

Oh! And I forgot to mention, yes, you guys sent Zab the right biters. She also needs a few others, but hopefully I'll be able to get those myself for her.
