Hahahahahaha! Don't count on 'out of reach' to cut it! My cats climb EVERYWHERE in my house, which surprises everyone, because none of our previous cats were climbers. It was funny when the white one jumped from an end table, to a short bookshelf, to a taller bookshelf, to an even taller bookshelf, then jumped over the gaps between the tallest bookshelves in my study (they reach all the way to the ceiling), and then knocked a whole bunch of books onto my desk, knocking everything over and a lot of the stuff on my desk (and the books) onto the floor! This happened while I was asleep, so when I came in the next morning and my study was trashed. I just laughed and cleaned it up, although I couldn't reach the top bookshelf that they had knocked the books from, and I put them elsewhere.

My father would have been angry. One time Cassie tried to climb onto his tallest bookshelf, but she thought she could use the lights witch as a stepping-stone. He was suddenly surprised by the light turning off in his study and he yelled at her. Poor kitty got scared and zoomed out of there, and I had to point out to my father that she was just being a cat. Getting angry doesn't accomplish anything but it scares the cat and makes her afraid of him.

They like to climb to the tops of EVERYTHING in every room, and Cassie is constantly pondering the tallest furniture in each room to try to figure out how to get up there. (She has yet to figure out the cabinets in the living room, and we worry that she'll succeed, because they're made of a lot of glass.)

So just a warning - putting the plants high might NOT be a solution! :) Depends on the cat, but just saying. :)

The cat grasses are all safe. :) I think grass in general is safe, but I could be wrong. The last cat I had (she passed away at 19 years) refused to eat cat grass, but always ate any plants I tried to grow, which is probably part of why I view myself as a brown thumb. Apparently I always bought cat-safe plants, because she was always fine!

There's also a possibility that some cats have a better constitution than others. That's a bit hard to believe, however, if a plant is actually "poisonous". It MIGHT be, however, that where you live doesn't tend to have those kinds of plants growing wild. I really do not know.

I just remember that when my sister looked at the list of plants that weren't safe, she was very upset, because she had owned one of those, and her cat had chewed on it all the time. Then it died rather abruptly and with a great deal of distress, which leads my sister to believe that it was poisoned from eating that plant.

It could also be the amount the cat eats of it, and certain balances within the plant. It's hard to say what factors are involved. But I personally don't want to risk it. I love my kitties too much to ever want to risk one of them to getting poisoned by a plant!

Actually, there are more plants that ARE poisonous to cats than AREN'T. We found that out when one of my sister's cats died from eating part of a plant in her house. She was devastated. She found a list of what plants are poisonous to cats (there are more that are dangerous to cats than to humans), and then she went into her yard and pulled out a bunch of plants that were out there and threw them away, because many of her neighbors' cats hang out in her yard, and she didn't want them getting poisoned by nibbling her plants. (My sister loves wildlife so much that not only does she not put out traps for animals who eat her plants and damage anything in her yard, but she has been known to put food out for things like racoons and squirrels and bears. She says that THEY lived there before SHE did, so she isn't going to chase them away.)

Cats don't hang out in our yard (birds and bunnies do though) so we've never worried about what's in our yard. But if you're concerned, you might do an online search. I don't know where she found the list, but the fact is, the list of what is NOT poisonous is actually shorter than the list that IS, so you might actually look for that.

Bamboo is safe, and so are some air plants (I had an air plant that my cat ate, it was before I knew plants could be dangerous for cats), and so is grass. But many plants are not safe. It's definitely a good idea to check into it before getting a cat. I think the African violet may be one of the dangerous ones, but you'll want to check on that to be sure.

The fact that there's three of each, and the hatchlings all look the same, indicates that at least with both of these variants, there is adult dimorphism. I always prefer when the adults are dimorphic; it's easier for me to sort my dragons, because you can tell at a glance if it's male or female. :)

Oh, and the blue ones ARE pretty. I'll wait until the others are adults before I pass judgement. :)

Edit: Both variants are still showing up fairly frequently in the caves. I found the same thing with the last few new variants. Either they are very common, or he's now making newer variants drop more often for a while. I have six more of the blue ones already. :) If anyone has a terrible connection and needs one or two, let me know and after cool-down I can send you a trade. (Just trade me a random AP egg so I'll know you get it and it won't go to someone random that I don't know.)

I should take a picture of our back yard. My mother is the gardener in our family; I'm a brown thumb. We don't have any house plants other than a bamboo, because the majority of plants are poisonous to cats and they WILL chew on them!

But our yard has all sorts of beautiful plants and flowers growing, because my mother is quite good at that sort of thing. :)

I had an African violet once. It died pretty quickly. :( I had always wondered why my friend gave it to me, knowing how bad I am with plants. (Although I suppose he didn't know that at the time.)

I just played two games and got my wishes each time. Maybe try clearing your cache? Or log out and log back in again. (I sound like a Microsoft tech support person! Gah!)

No, seriously, clearing the cache can clear up a lot of problems. If it doesn't, try using a different browser to see if it's something about the particular browser you're currently using. If something in the coding got changed in FG, it's possible a glitch has occurred that might affect a specific browser, and then the admins would need to know.

I managed to get three of one type and four of the other. :) I've influenced them so I should have an equal number of each gender. (Barring my extra.) Hopefully the one I have three of will be common later, so I'll be able to get at least one more and make it even. :)

Some of the newer releases have been common, but a couple have been rare. Especially the coppers, which the creator said were supposed to be "uncommon at the worst", those are the rarest of all the newer dragons.

walkinslow: No, every month they release a new kind of dragon egg. You will be able to get it at anytime. HOWEVER... for the first 24 hours the egg drops CONSTANTLY in whatever biome it will be native to. Later on the egg may be common, uncommon, or rare, but the very first day everyone has a chance to grab the eggs as long as they are not egg-locked and have a good connection to be able to compete with everyone else for them. If the egg later turns out to be rare, sometimes the first-day drops are the only real chance you'll have to get a caveborn of the type.

Most people (including me) try to make sure we're not scroll-locked so we can grab as many of the eggs as possible. If he releases TWO kinds of eggs (which happens occasionally), then it becomes harder, but in some ways it's more fun. :)

walkinslow: Mimmu is talking about an "egg" you can catch on DragonCave called a leetle tree. It changes to various types throughout the year; In Spring it's a cherry tree, in Summer it's a palm tree, in Autumn it has orange leaves, and in Winter it's a Christmas tree. (Although that might be for only part of the winter, I can't recall.) TJ has it turn into different things on April 1; apparently this year it's a stalk of broccoli. One year it was a carrot. Actually, I think all the dragons that year were carrots. :)

I've been searching the garden after you guys posted this, but I STILL don't see any seeds I don't recognize. Not even an "invisible" one. So I think you're the one pulling something, not FG.

I haven't either, and I've looked through the wild garden quite a while. They may not be dropping yet. I think event seeds have to be started manually, and this might be a similar situation.

Lady Nova is right. Doctor Who is the kind of series you can kind of jump into the middle of. While there are many little in-jokes aimed at long-time fans, that won't stop someone who knows nothing about it from enjoying what they watch. Each episode can pretty much stand by itself, with very few exceptions.
