Since more people have blues, reds, and purples than many of the others, you shouldn't have a problem trading for a blue if you need one at the end. Green might be harder, since it's one of the breed-only variants.

walkinslow: Usually they only post news if there's an event or new flower. Because there were two events last month, there may not be a new flower this month. (You could consider the new witch mushroom to be the new may flower.)
I think the next event might be the one with the Marvel ferns? I'm not sure. If it is, I would recommend that new players begin catching and raising regular ferns ASAP, as they are needed for the breed-only variants of the Marvel ferns.

Here's one of my favorites: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." This line in the King James bible caused some terrible pogroms against innocent women.
And it was a mistranslation. The Hebrews don't have a word for "witch". (Hebrew mysticism is as much a part of the religion as anything else. Jews have nothing against mysticism in any form.) The original word was "poisoner".
Just think of all the terrible tragedies that were caused by that one mistranslation.

walkinslow: Many of us do this during events when there are variants that are breed-only. We know how hard it is for someone coming in new, who has never had a chance to grow the flowers, to get the rare variants. We just want to be helpful to all of you.

It is, but if you have a King James version I don't think you'll see it. That part of the old testament wasn't translated into English at the time of much of it; it was deliberately censored out.
Yes, censorship in the bible. Really. I took some religious studies courses in college and learned about several sections that were yanked out, and several more that were simply poorly translated. Mostly because they were translated from Hebrew to Greek, then from Greek to Latin, then from Latin to English. You are bound to get mistranslations when you go through that many iterations. And then of course, each translation included some deliberate censorship, which only exacerbated the problem.

Since breeding time is almost over, I bred all of my mushrooms, and have dropped 16 bred witch mushroom seeds into the wild for anyone to take.

-
No, not really. I have to think about it. I haven't had much chance to think with finals finishing up for me.

I am planning to (eventually) do a poetry lineage project; Jabberwocky had been the poem I had in mind (it has always been my favorite, and I've had it memorized for decades), but "Father William" is right up there with me, too. Or one that I don't know the name of, but starts off with "In form and feature, face and limb, I grew so like my brother, that people mistook me for him, and each for one another." The poem ends with the writer dying, but his brother getting buried in his stead. It's rather a silly poem, which is precisely why I love it.

Bajka, I took your silver. I can continue that lineage.
Some of the others I would have trouble with, like the one with the hollies. It's a beautiful lineage, but the hollies I have have really messy lineages. (I got the hollies randomly from the AP last winter.) -
That is a nice lineage. Not easily breedable, but a nice looking lineage.
I can't take one for an hour until some of my hatchlings are grown. Ironically, I'm scroll locked by hatchlings!

Edit: Tawanda, I took it, because I really do love the lineage. Thank you!

Congratulations, Idril and Shelybear! But... what is ARK?
-
Actually, she INSISTED that they were merely uncommon and not rare. Bull. I have NEVER seen one in the caves; that's rare.
-
As long as the dragons are attractive, I don't care if they're common or rare, I'll collect multiples. There are about a half dozen or so breeds I don't care for; I have a few of each, but I generally ignore those eggs in the caves. That doesn't mean I *won't* take one, just that there are many others I prefer.

I'm still a bit peeved about the copper dragons being rare, and I'm miffed at the creator saying they're not. I have never seen one of those eggs in the caves at all, and I'm convinced they're the same rarity as the metallics, at least.
-
If they're common, I'm glad. I think all dragons should actually be common; it irritates me that some are so impossible to find. Lately the new ones have been common and that makes me happy, because I like gathering armies of my dragons.

-
TJ's hatchlings and eggs that are new types always get sick from the number of hits they get. I think his scroll is set so dragons can never die. He also has his scroll hidden, so you can't click on random eggs of his. Otherwise I think every egg or dragon would get sick because of peoples' curiosity, although I don't think it really matters, since his dragons can never die.

dustpuppy: The green and pink are breed-only variants. If you don't have any bred seeds, you won't have a green. But you can breed two of your own once they are grown, and have a chance for one.
-
I don't think there's any way to tell yet whether one of the eggs will be rarer than the other. I think right now it just depends upon how many people are fighting for each particular egg. I was able to catch three Alpines right away, but it took me longer to catch 3 Volcanoes. There are 114 people in the Alpine biome and 144 in the volcano biome, which to me explains the difference in difficulty.
I think both eggs are very pretty.

Edit: I just saw a regular egg sneak into the volcano biome. How odd.

blobber: That's good to know. I only have one, but maybe I'll get more this year.

-
I have the feeling (although we'll need to get it confirmed) that last year's might be breed-only as well. I don't know this for certain, it's just speculation. An admin could tell us for certain, or we might be able to verify the reverse if someone ever gets last year's with a wild seed.
