Near the tree is a backpack. Click it and it opens the inventory, which will then stay open the rest of the game.
You might not even be able to go further until you've opened it, because I don't think you can pick up the nails until you do.

There are several spelling errors (I think they were translation errors) in the English version of the treasure hunt.

    Display Spoiler

"One moment, the knight doesn't move a bit. Is he rostet in?" <= Should be "rusted in"
"Damned, you uncover my secret." <= Should be "uncovered my secret"
"Funky, but butter is also grease. It will be work." <= Should be "It will work" or "It should work"
"Where is she captive?" <= Should probably be "Where is she held captive?"
"She was bewitched from the cruel wizard Alberich" <= should be "She was bewitched by the cruel wizard Alberich"
"Who can know it?" <= Should be "Who knows how to do it?" or "Who would know how to do it?" or something similar
"The boozy monk, which haunted restless down in the caves." <= This sentence doesn't make much sense. How about "The drunken monk, who restlessly haunts the caves." Or to be clear that he's a ghost (it becomes clearer later), "The drunken monk, a ghost who restlessly haunts the caves."
"I see that you've found what you were looking for, very well! Would you be so kind as to close the doors to the wine cellar?" <= Doesn't he mean OPEN the doors?
"Take some of this brand. It can raise someone of the dead and will also help the princess." <= You mean brandy, not brand.
    Edit: More of them
"You want a cattail from me? First chase the carterpillars away who eating my leaves." <= who ARE eating my leaves
"We have eated enough and want to pupate. The birds will eat us. Bring us to a save place" <= "We have eatEN enough and want to pupate. .... Bring us to a SAFE place."
"This is a save place." <= "This is a SAFE place."
"Redeem us. Then we let you go to the well." <= This whole conversation with them, I think the word you were actually looking for was "avenge", not "redeem". It would make a lot more sense. (Redeem indicates that THEY did something wrong for which they are being punished justly. That is not the case.)
"If you find the treasure of the water fay, I have the first choice and took one thing." <= "took" is past tense. Since taking the treasure is in the future, it should be: "I have the first choice and will take one thing."
"I does hope more, he will flee out of his tower." <= I'm not entirely sure what you were trying to say here. :)
"Then the way to the water lady was supposed to be free now." Shouldn't be past tense again. "Then the way to the water lady should be free now."

Didn't want to spoil it for anyone who is still working the puzzle. :)

This is a fun treasure hunt! I've only just started it because I've been at the doctor's all day, so reading everyone's posts have made me laugh because they're so confusing. :) That's OK, though - I don't mind spoilers (that's never bothered me), I'm just not very far yet. :)

I think whenever Exterminans turns it off. I don't think there's a fixed time.

Let's hope he gets lazy and gives us an extra day. :) I'd like to drop another set of seeds (next time it will be 28 - I kept the first four for myself this time), but if it ends at exactly 7 days, I won't have the chance.

Also, if they keep it open one more day, we'll have a chance to get a third set of seeds. Most of us weren't here the exact hour it started (I saw it 8 hours after the first post that said they saw seeds, which probably wasn't immediately when they were released), so unless it lasts at least a day beyond what they said, I won't get a third set of seeds, and I suspect this will be true for about 99% of us.

That said, I appreciate the fact that they give us the events. Can't wait to see if there's a new variant, and what color it will be. :)

No, you can play the game without knowing either language, you just can't use the forums. You might miss the events, and you might not learn how to get the breed-only variants, but you can still play the game itself.

I'm a bit iffy about the idea of variants that are based on a particular user's scroll number, or something like that. While some of us can do trades, it will limit some people who are unable - or unwilling - to use the forums. I don't think the forums should be forced on anyone. But that's just my feelings on it.

Besides the fact that the plants don't need "clicks" or "views" to grow, they also - unlike DC eggs - won't die if they are NOT watered for a period of time. They just won't grow. Case in point are the abandoned gardens that we see in the thread the blobber posted. We've often encountered gardens that are several years old with unwatered seeds. Those seeds aren't dead, they just aren't grown.

So there isn't really a reason for a "hatchery" per se for seeds. They'll survive if someone goes out of town or is unable to access the internet for a while. They just won't become seedlings or adults until they are tended, and it's really up to the player to do the tending. If you neglect your garden, then your garden won't grow. And that's just the way it is.

They should be, but you're right, they're not. I have two in my greenhouse, and they don't have the breed option.

Maybe it's a glitch? It could be intentional, but that would be a little surprising, and there's nothing in the description about it.

I only have one GoN; I still haven't successfully summoned a second one. Right now I'm trying to get one of each avatar (with only one GoN that's taking a while), then I'd like to trade with people here. I would like to do some lineages with them, which I can't with only one GoN. :)
