Well, a cookie can expire from the client end, which would be my (or your) end, not the server end. That is, it would be SET at the server end (or not set), but something at the client end can manually expire it or delete it.

That's what I suspect Norton was doing to me the first day the new version was installed; I think it was gleefully going around deleting or expiring all my cookies (none of which were ever supposed to expire) which forced me to re-logon to all the sites I was normally permanently logged on to. I was NOT happy about it, needless to say.

I have a static IP address, which only changes if our router is rebooted. Since I am the only one in this house who reboots the router, I know that isn't what caused it this time.

This has actually never happened to me before. Which is making me wonder if the new version of Norton that I installed two days ago isn't doing weird things to my web games somehow. If that's the case, I just hope it settles itself down soon. Otherwise I'm afraid I'll go crazy.

Except that it's also happening when we click the links immediately, Shelybear. That's why we're reporting it - because it's a bug.

When I'm playing these games I'm rarely - if ever - distracted by outside things. I generally play the games pretty quickly (I choose the memory games, in fact, BECAUSE I can solve them so quickly), and click the prize link immediately, and then sometimes I get the error. Admittedly, it's rare, but as Exterminans says, it shouldn't happen at all if we don't delay clicking on them.

My guess is that a cookie is set to expire too quickly somehow. Either it is not being given enough time for the game to be solved, or there's some other weird glitch going on.

I'm going to be up front and admit that it's been happening to me more recently, now that I installed the latest version of Norton Security, and I think that MAY be a factor. I seem to be getting logged out of sites that I have "keep me logged in" selected, and I think Norton goes around expiring my cookies without my permission. I'm not sure HOW it's doing that, because I don't think it's supposed to, but I suspect it's a factor. But that is only in the last three days; until then, I had the older version of Norton, and I don't think it did stuff like that.

Aww.... that's too bad about the mis-gendering. I know it happens, but with me at least it's pretty uncommon.

I think I can try breeding one from a rosebud for you, and maybe from a heartseeker? Pretty sure I have a CB of that. But I'm egg-locked right now for a couple of days too. And I have jury duty Wednesday, so (unless I get put on a trial) I'll try to get at least one of them for you on Thursday.

With respect to the coppers, I don't even think I managed to catch any that first day, although I could be wrong. I remember being very frustrated, and thinking that the spriter who insisted that her dragons weren't rare was being very blind and stubborn.

Yeah, it happened to me earlier this evening as well. It seems to happen in the memory game the most, even when you solve it pretty quickly.

I just got a message when trying to post in the forums, that my session had expired and I had to log in again. The odd thing is that I was still logged in. It hadn't taken me THAT long to type my message, it was only a couple of sentences, and I type 80 wpm.

I had to close out that page completely, and re-open that forum thread, in order to re-type the reply and have it accept it. I don't know if you have any control over the forum code (probably not), but I thought I would report it anyway.

Oh, I *am* working on that Christmas tree lineage I told you guys about. I'm not all that far yet - got interrupted by Halloween and Christmas.

If I had a goal, it would probably be to have one of each type/gender. But really, I think I've already got that, other than discontinued types, so it doesn't matter.

So my goal now is just to have a lot of pretty dragons, and that's about it. I tend to have armies of various kinds of purple dragons (purple nebulae, horse, dream, mountain, etc.), just because I like purple, and when I see an egg from one of them on the AP, I usually snag it.

I didn't win anything, but I've never won anything in a non-skill-based contest in my entire life, so that was no surprise to me.

Remember, though, that if any of the winners doesn't reply to TJ, he has a second list of people that might get a prize. So someone here COULD get a prize! And if they do, I want to be in line for a child!

Most of them have parentless parents, but two of them have grandparents. I can't tell you which ones, you'll have to check before you take, if that matters to you.

Since Christmas Stars are also still breedable, I bred some more of my Christmas trees for people. Those seeds are also in the wild. All of these have parentless parents.

Ran out of poinsettias, so these next are bred trees, you can take them if you want the palm tree or the burning tree. Some have parentless parents, but most have grandparents.

Every so often, when I'm in a game, an ad suddenly takes over my entire browser, and I can't even do a back button to go back to the game. (So it's a good thing I always open the games in a separate tab from my garden.) I got really ticked off at it today finally (this has been going on for a few days) so I blocked the site. Now the block comes up instead, so at least I can now use the back button to get back to the game, even though it will be a different game. A full on browser hijack.

The URL is " lemode-mgz.com". I don't know if this helps at all, because I suspect your ad company controls the ads and not you. Just thought I would report it, in case you can report it somewhere, and the ad company can take steps. I don't think browser hijacking is legal in the U.S., I don't know about elsewhere.

I've come across interesting code names before, but other than thinking, "Oh, that's neat!" I haven't done anything with it. I do like those codes you have for those dragons you bred for Mimmu! Especially "GEEK"!
