I've been checking off and on for the past hour and haven't seen any. I believe that on occasion Exterminans has done a manual drop; maybe they need to trigger a few more drops now? I suspect there are more players now than ever, which could account for it. 
Edit: It has now been over two hours, in which I've been refreshing the wild garden about 30-40 times every 10 minutes or so, and have yet to see even one.

Actually, I agree with you. Plus this way we can see when you've reached 50, which is your goal.
We can always look at our posts here, too. When the seeds grow up, the images will show what variants they are. Although your database is more scientific, we'll be able to see at a glance if any are the second variant.

I only got one this year of that variant, and it was bred. So far I have only seen one parentless in each person's garden. But it's still conjecture at this point. Only way to know for sure is for people to write down the numbers of the seeds they take from the wild, and then look at those same numbers as adults. That will be the only way to know with absolute certainty.
That would be an interesting test, and maybe something we can do after Shely goes through all the breeds that have (or allegedly have) breed-only variants. There are flowers that I have a bunch of, where I have only one each of certain colors. So I, too, would like to know if those colors are rare, or if it was random which colors I happened to get.
I would also like to know which of the HoV flowers is breed-only. Exterminans said that one variant is, but I've checked various gardens, and it seems to me that I've seen parentless of every variety, in one person's garden or another. Some of them might be seeds they got from the postal pixie, but I have no way of knowing. Unfortunately, that's one type we can't test until next Valentine's Day, and even reporting what we currently have won't work, because people won't necessarily remember which ones came from the post pixie.
This is a very good method of doing a scientific analysis! I would join, but I picked up four seeds right before reading the forums. D'oh! As soon as they're grown I'll try to help, unless you already have 50 seeds being worked on by that point.
I remember the first time that my friend said 'What are you up to?' to me and I totally misunderstood it... I guessed it like 'What do you want?/What are you looking for' for the reason no one knows...while the true meaning is 'What are you doing?'...
Oh, that's one I sometimes have fun with. Here are some of my smart-alec replies to people when they try to ask how I'm doing:
"What's new?" I reply: "C over lambda." (Mathematical expression: nu = c / lambda.) Or "A two-horned herbivore from Africa" ("gnu" instead of "new") or "A wildebeest" (same as latter).
"What's up?" My reply: "The sky" or "the ceiling" or "The price of fish in Cambodia" (or some other random country).
"What are you up to?" I reply: "About 5'5"." (They want to know what I'm up to, so I give them my height.)
I really hate answering questions like that most of the time. My feeling is that the person generally doesn't REALLY care, and it's also none of their business. So I give smart-alec replies.
I agree with Tru. It absolutely has meaning. "I'm not sure" is similar to "I'm not certain" - saying that the first has no meaning is saying that the second has no meaning, and that's absolutely not true. It's similar in meaning to "I don't know" except that it is usually proceeded by another statement, and the "I'm not sure" indicates that you aren't entirely certain about your knowledge. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

That's the way the wreath seeds were, the first year as well. These might end up becoming a yearly seed, but it also might not. The wreaths weren't repeated the year after they were initially released. It wasn't until last Christmas that they were finally released as a seed in the wild and for breeding. So this seed could be along similar lines. We really won't know until next year!
The gifting is only on the 14th, and is based on Germany time, I think. Yeah, it's time limited. There are two traveling plants games going on, though, and that counts as gifting, too. It's an easy way to get involved in the gifting process, even if you don't have plants to gift.

It's nice that you came back, sroo! One thing nice about your game - at least your plants will never get sick or die, even if you have to go away for a while!
When I try for the breed-only variants, I used to deliberately use different variants for the parents. Now I try to use the same variant, but either way can look good for a third gen if you do it right. Unfortunately, that's where it generally breaks down for me.
I've looked at the decorating thread, and it has given me ideas. I do wish I had gotten a different cave, though. 
It visited Southern California where it is 90 degrees Fahrenheit!
Then I got the generic cave with my nebula, even though he's CB and his info says his egg was from the desert. I wonder why?
I like the one with the waterfall best. I wish there had been some way for us to know ahead of time.
