Fortunately, they should be around for eight days, so it shouldn't be a problem getting as many as we want. ![]()

Nor am I, although when I first started I inadvertently inbred a few, because I didn't know to check. We just found this particular lineage amusing, because it was so obviously what the creator desired.

Welcome, Krande! I think you'll like it here - everyone on this forum is very friendly.
But the forum itself can be confusing (to do a PM, you select "conversation", not "email", for instance), so if you have questions, let us know. Many of us are on DC as well, and there's a thread dedicated to DC in the General forum here. I think a few of us must love Star Wars (coughs), but there's no thread for it.

The third variant (blue) is now available in the caves, and once again, quite a few are being released. Either that or they're common, which is just fine with me!
-
Are you willing to take parentless ones we already have in our gardens, or do you want them all to be new ones?
-
That's interesting! I didn't know the post pixie would send you more than one... or is that your first one from the post pixie?
If you don't want it, I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to trade. I would, but I have two biting dandelions, and I'm sure there are other people who have none or one who would be happy to trade for it.

-
Ooooh! Thank you for telling us, walkinslow! Otherwise I would have completely missed it!
It is very nice of him to give us extra drops like this for each variant. He didn't have to, but it gives everyone a better chance at them.

I offered. I accidentally have two spare males, because I forgot to gender one of my eggs.

I have to say, I think these dragons are absolutely gorgeous. I also love the Xenowyrms and the Spirit Ward Dragons (they would have made great Halloween dragons, but I'm glad they're just regular, so we can get more of them during the year! I love that they change colors at night!). I think the spriters have been doing an excellent job, and whoever is selecting the releases (I'm assuming TJ), has been doing a good job as well.
I can only wish that the Xenowyrms were more common because of all of the variants, but that's a small regret. And I wish these weren't so popular, because I'd love to be able to snag one of the bronze variants right now.

That would make it so anyone who already has some (which is pretty much all of us now) could never get one. That would make no sense, because once everyone has at least one, it would prevent anyone from ever getting the rare.
I really don't think the admins would have put up a mechanic that would be that nonsensical. I would suggest the opposite - that the recipient needs to have a certain number - but since Shely started the traveling potato game when they hadn't been out long, I don't think anyone had more than four or eight of them yet.
Also, remember that the potato changed shape several times. I don't think it was in baked form in anyone else's gardens (although I could be wrong - one of them will have to let us know), but it IS in baked form now, and I think it was baked in agajol's garden for a brief time. (We'll only know for certain if it is showing in her compendium.) So... what is there different about THAT potato, that of all of them, that one should be baked? (It may not be the traveling, since Shely said that it got baked apparently BEFORE agajol took it.)
If it has to do with the fact that Shely created that forum post... then that would just be weird, because I don't think the game itself is connected to anything on the forums.
We have theories, but I don't know if anyone has tried testing any of those theories consistently. What we should probably do is pick one of the theories, and then a bunch of us say, "OK, we're going to test that theory out by all of us doing X and see what happens." Only we're just not that organized at the moment.

I thought that too, but a few other people tried gifting and it didn't work. So who knows? Although I think that might still have something to do with it.

Originally people did have a question mark after the three normal variants, so people were breeding for a while, but got no new variants. Then Exterminans told us that it was a hidden variant that required a different means of getting, and he removed the question mark for that variant.
We really don't know WHY that potato of Shely's became baked for a short time. It may have been a glitch, but if it was, I wish Exterminans would tell us so.

-
No, Exterminans told us that it was a "hidden" variant. Actually, he told us that there was a hidden variant before it had ever popped up for anyone, but didn't tell us anything about what it was or how to get it. No one imagined that it would be this puzzling!
-
Well, that is what the thread says, which is probably why the rumor that the egg color will change every week or so. That may in fact be accurate, and will make getting a full complement of those eggs very difficult for many.
-
Well then, let's just hope these aren't rare like the last release's eggs.
-
Any idea yet which egg colors come from which biome? So far as I can tell, only three biomes are affected - alpine, desert, and volcano - yet there are four variants.
I got three eggs from the alpine biome, all were gold. Anyone else willing to share what they got where?
-
Thank you, Bajka! Thank you very much!

Would anyone here happen to have a silver tinsel lineage that's a stair, and consists of female tinsels? My silver tinsel lines are all males, and I would like to do an arrow lineage with a male and female silver tinsel at some point. A long lineage is fine.
I'm willing to give you a third-gen gold tinsel male lineage, if any of my second gens will cooperate. (They didn't this weekend.) Or a low-gen female silver tinsel lineage. Or offspring from any of my other metallics, if you want.
Actually, I'd be willing to give any of those to people even if you couldn't offer me a female silver tinsel line, although I would still really like one.
