I love hidden features in games (a.k.a. Easter eggs) and thought there might be some in Flowergame as well, something that wouldn't show up in the compendium until someone found it, and hybrid plants seem to be a good example for that. You could cross-breed different species, and sometimes you'd get a message that your breeding experiment produced a new hybrid (like breeding a hyacinth with a dandelion and getting a hyalion etc.). This could be event related (e.g. carnival or midsummer madness) or a regular feature.

There was an older discussion of a similar idea here: Cross Breeding. The poll result suggests that many people would enjoy such a feature (although I think my idea is slightly different, but it fits the same category).

  • I do like this idea :)
However, I would like to see breeds available to carry out cross-breeding be limited. And what kind of plants are able to do that should be discovered by ourselves. (I can see there will be a long experiment list.)
