Show!
Show us which variants you're turning into.

Thanks guys. Btw, Shelybear is not parentless.

IIRC, normally 100 hrs for each stage but with bonus (pick the snail up every 24 hrs) it's 92 hrs for each. Two four-day stages

Uhm I tend to assume most of people from internet are 'female', for the reason I don't really know. But in this case I know Jedi is a female because I saw her DC profile and it states 'female' and from the way she talks. Although mostly I don't believe the information provided in profiles because majority don't want to share their real personal info (e.x. age).
Funny that, I have a friend who guess people's gender wrong ALL THE TIME from Internet. lol. Whenever she guessed a gender, it's then confirmed to be opposite.
To female water lily: You're not alone! LN's avatar indeed looks like a cup cake.
P.S. if we are what our avatars are, it's really hard to find my human being fellows then
Where are you guys?
P.P.S. Back to topic. I wow'ed when seeing Jedi liked almost all posts. lol. -
I just noticed that you two both have a white AND a black cat as your avatars. If so, then which one is you and which is Mia, assuming they are siblings? :p
-
No they didn't. In the past Feb the only event we had was gifting a plant and the reward was the new plant (Be my Valentine).
-
Quickly skimmed over some previous threads and had no luck with them. Sorry I don't know where you could get those two tables but I would guess it's from Valentine's event or Christmas'. It's weird that nobody posted when they got the new stuffs. Or maybe there's just one line mentioning it so I skipped without noticing that.It would be more convenient if we have a thread or something making trace of decorations.
Actually...I'n not sure if knowing which event you get the decorations is helpful because they do different things every year...You get one decoration from this year doesn't mean newbies can get a make-up next year. So knowing the decorations are from which event just give a general idea that it might be available again on the same event in the future years, I guess?
Anyway, yep, remind Exterminans when he forgets anything. lol.
-
The oven was the reward of this event at (and only at) the year 2012. They didn't do it for the last two years. So basically so far we don't know how could we retrieve the oven. But if he does turn it on (and hopefully post a news to let us know), all you need to do is to 'trash' a plant that you've already had to get the reward. It will not affect your pot vacancies. Personal tip: Just keep collecting event seeds because it has many variants

-
Maybe just for personal preference, but could number/id of plants also be shown on breeding pages?
like this:At least it's more convenient than mouse over it to see the id
Plus could you make the "view" link open in a new tab rather on the same page?
Also, it would be cool if we can know which plant(s) it has been bred with. But I'm not sure if it takes more time to change... -
Sorry I was afk for a while. Nah I don't need that egg, but thank you!
-
Offered a swallowtail egg
I still need some from Jungle. Thanks! -
Re colours of parents: I somehow remember it's been confirmed that the colours of parents don't affect the children.
-
Sorry for the wait. Yep since the event has been triggered on, we can do one for it now. So just post the parentless witch mushroom here and bred ones in LN's thread. xD
Since I also think it's been somehow verified, I'll take this one as an extra experiment. That means, this time I won't set a goal number. The experiment runs as long as the event is still running and ends when it is end

Here we go.
Extra Experiment 1 : Witch Mushroom (Hexenhutpilz, Walpurgia faustinis):

-
Oops. I was told it exceeded the limit of 10,000 characters. So I will only list the full table of experiment(s) in progress in second post from now on.
Here's the continued table for the first finished experiment.

QuoteExperiment 1: Bow String Hemp (Bogenhanf, Sansevieria) - Result: Confirmed! Variant 2 is breed-only.

Uhm good question. I don't remember where exactly did I come out this idea - maybe I was wondering the bred-only rules for special plants, or I was just looking through Wiki page for regular plants.
Actually the reason I started to accept the already grown ones might be simpler than you imagined... One day I had a chat about this experiment with Exterminans, he said 'I don't know why don't you use existing plants'. So...here it is. I did worried about possible changes in rules and that was the reason I only took new plants at first run. As it's been confirmed that no rules have ever been changed (so far) to regular plants, it's safe to accept grown plants now. (A little bit extended: if one day the admin decided to change the rules after we figured them out, I'd be interested in trying to find out which variants are the new bred-only ones :))
And for the concerns, "grown plants spread over a broader timescale and it is more representative " is indeed a very strong argument. xD Although I know as there ARE many grown plants, it is way too easy to fill the 50 goals of parentless plants. Therefore run directly into the conclusion and say "that variant is bred-only" is a little bit inaccurate and hasty. So based on the huge amount of already grown plants, the only concern I'd have is that 50 specimen might not be enough to verify the hypotheses. And for sure, only 50 specimen is not even enough to conclude when we'are doing the ones which have more parentless variants.
Yes, I will definitely go with the above idea for special/event plants. However, for regular plants, I'd really like to let you choose the way you want to participant in. As I'm not in rush and this experiment is, initially, intended to bring something fun. I'd rather say it's a "game". So I can do "keep accepting grown plants, but increase (possibly double) the required amount", or "accept only newly-planted specimen". Either way, the total amount of plants vary according to the species of plants.
Or, is there any better suggestion??
(P.S. Haven't done such a long paragraph for long time apart from essays. xDD)
P.P.S. Samples added. Thank you Belisar, also for bringing this discussion.

One thing that can be confirmed is: when a type of dragon is still shown on the completed list, it hasn't been released yet (and very likely will not be in the near future or unfortunately will not be released at all). Because TJ removes them from that list (long) before releasing them.
At least this is what I was told. That list might be edited periodically and some of my friends used to save the webpages accordingly. I don't know whether they are still doing that or not.P.S. I quite like the garden dragons they have on the completed dragon list. xD
-
TJ forgot to hide the encyclopedia entry of new release at first so it showed breed name on individual dragon's page and I just appeared to be online that time. After pointed out by a few people on the forum, he hid it.
P.S.I also got this screenshot if you're interested:Display Spoiler
It shows just blur shadows, though.
