To be quite honest - I couldn't care less if someone else has picked up seeds before me. I would even say that I like seeds with a certain "history" :D.

It's probably because you don't have another matching plant. The breeding option only shows up when there's at least one match.

Oh, the Zinnias are beautiful! I'll have to collect some more of those seeds once the fern mating season is over...

Don't worry, calenlass. July 23d as an end date for the mating season should give us enough time to make a couple of breeding attempts. The first batch of male ferns should grow up in a couple of days (Monday?), so I guess we will see some bred marvel fern seeds soon...
